I know those excuses well, and at the time i was still wanting a WR. You told me to name first rounders, and took me 2 mins to think of who would be gone in a heartbeat. Wonder if we could have traded up a couple of spots to get Jennings, course we couldn't get that done for Sweed this year either, instead we took the next best TE again.

Anyway, I know why they were taken, I was on actually OK with the Spears pick at the time, but Carp was always a waste to me causes I never saw him as an OLB. That pick should have been a WR, and maybe one of those TE picks could have been used to get one.

Again, I don't see your defense here. It should have been done, but it wasn't. Those WRs that we had on the roster you mention were all over 30, doesn't take much forsight to see that we needed to develop something.

I just can't believe your actually making me look back at the drafts, I was better when I didn't see them.

We knew we needed to develop something, and thats why we drafted crayton, thats why we drafted Stanback. It's not as if we haven't drafted a WR at all. But there are too many circumstances involved to attempt to figure out why we have drafted one in the earlier rounds.

You sound like your Jerry Jones.

Drafting late round converted QBs to fill that hole is like asking one beaver to build a damn to stop the Mississippi River.

The Pats? the same pats that have been a top team since 2000?

And you're comparing that to the Dallas team from 2003?

Seriously?
I am saying having Welker and Moss and Stallworth did not stop the Pats from adding Jackson...I guess they looked at Stallworth as a stop gap...giving them time to get Jackson ready. And I have felt all along that we should have brought someone along while we were riding the TO/Glenn train....who are the Cowboy WRs when those wheels fall off? And it's not like those wheels are falling off way in the future

Well, I named Holmes or RWhite who could've been taken, then Jennings or Sweed who could have been had with only a small move up. I figure there are alot more if I cared to look long enough.

I just hope we hit the lottery with one of those youngsters or get a vet WR from heaven. The age of our WRs has been an issue for years, but that is what you overpay in free agency to get a position that you may have neglected as a team in its development. Really a common problem and why you see teams making outlandish offers to free agents.

completley agree....how are not going to be taken behind the woodshed to get roy williams or chad johnson when their respective teams know we have nowhere else to turn
