We have to Beat Philly
We have to Beat Philly
I think they learned a lesson from the Houston game.I sure hope you're wrong.
Did you ever play sports? I think you are way over thinking this. The chiefs have last 3 close games in a row ton the bengals. Do you think the chiefs would gon into a game against the Bengals not confident they would win? These Ganges can be decided on one play, and all of the nfl guys are alfa males. They always think they are going to win.It doesn’t matter if we win the division— we have to beat Philly on 12/24. The W gives us a huge and vital momentum and confidence boost, and plants the seeds of fear, doubt, and uncertainty in the Eagles.
Sets up a massive showdown in Jan— but if we get swept in the regular season— I think out mental game will be off and while it is difficult to beat a team 3 times in a season, and we would be desperate— I think a beatdown on 12/24 is the message we need to send, the statement we need to make, and the lunch money we need to take if we are going to even entertain making a playoff run

I think your exactly right. This team is mentally fragile and if the lose to Philly it would not be good if they meet again. This game is another measuring stick game. I remember last year talking about Denver and the Cardinals being measuring stick games and they lost and people kept saying oh they will get things fixed for the playoffs. Well no they won't and no they didn't and we saw that same style of play against the 49ers. Some people are sick of hearing about those games but that's just too bad. I wish the media would start asking Prescott about those games and if he is learned anything. It doesn’t matter if we win the division— we have to beat Philly on 12/24. The W gives us a huge and vital momentum and confidence boost, and plants the seeds of fear, doubt, and uncertainty in the Eagles.

You missed your calling...The statement we need to make.
The lunch money we need to take.
The backbone we need to break.
The claim we need to stake.

Very rare that a team beats another3 times in a season. A loss may serve as a wake up call and a win may make the Eagles overconfidence. It doesn’t matter if we win the division— we have to beat Philly on 12/24. They failed the test because they weren't good enough. Nothing more, nothing less.Thinking you can do something, and actually doing it when the pressure is on are two very different things.
And yes. I have played sports. And yes, mental preparation has a lot to do with success and outcomes on the field.
Dallas needs to prove to themselves and the world they can beat the best. Not just talk about it. 12/24 is put up or shut up time. Downplaying the significance of the game is the same error people made when they tried to downplay the loss to Ariz last year.
That game was absolutely a barometer for where Dallas was mentally and they failed the test. Don’t make the same mistake again

Nothing in this original post has any legs. It’s all nonsense
Just realized that our last two games are on the road against likely playoff teams.
Then need three playoff wins on the road if they don’t win the East. The SB would be a sixth.
Win six consecutive games on the road vs playoff teams?
It just seems like such too impossible an order. Even if we beat Philly I’m not sure we get the help we need.
The best possible scenario may be where we are locked into the five and can treat the final game as a bye, take advantage of a weak South winner, and hope we are clicking for that division round game.
I think (hope) they learned a lesson last week about overlooking opponents. They came into the Hou game thinking they would walk right through them and before they knew it they were in a dogfight. I don't see a repeat of that lackadaisical approach by the players this week. If I do see it, it doesn't bode well for the playoffs.I don't think Cowboys are, fans maybe so but we do not play the games.
The Green Bay game should have been a wake up call to last the whole season....it didnt.I think they learned a lesson from the Houston game.
