It doesn’t matter if we win the division— we have to beat Philly on 12/24. The W gives us a huge and vital momentum and confidence boost, and plants the seeds of fear, doubt, and uncertainty in the Eagles.

Sets up a massive showdown in Jan— but if we get swept in the regular season— I think out mental game will be off and while it is difficult to beat a team 3 times in a season, and we would be desperate— I think a beatdown on 12/24 is the message we need to send, the statement we need to make, and the lunch money we need to take if we are going to even entertain making a playoff run

Ehhhh. We swept the Giants in 2007 and looked great in both. They came back in January and we looked terrible and got bounced. I don't believe in momentum from week to week. In game, sure. Whether we win or not next week, won't have much bearing on what happens if we face them in the playoffs.

The Green Bay game should have been a wake up call to last the whole season....it didnt.

They haven't lost a game since that game....

Nevermind. You people moan and whine if we don't go out there and win 49-0.

Hate to say it but we probably won’t…we’re going to need a road game in Jan to get past them unfortunately and it’s going to be very tough

I didnt know the Superbowl was played on Christmas Eve? The Eagles game is just another game, win or lose the season goes on. This team is good enough to be in the playoffs no matter the seed. The question is, is his team good enough to win in the playoffs. That is yet to be determined. Everyone starts the playoffs 0-0 no matter their regular season record.

NEWS FLASH: The Superbowl is not being held on xmass eve. It's just a regular season game. Don't make too much of it, win or lose, we have greater goals.

I think (hope) they learned a lesson last week about overlooking opponents. They came into the Hou game thinking they would walk right through them and before they knew it they were in a dogfight. I don't see a repeat of that lackadaisical approach by the players this week. If I do see it, it doesn't bode well for the playoffs.

I don't know if they overlooked or just played a bad game. Houston has a bad record but they have played several teams tough. You can't afford to play sloppy in this league because more times than not will get you beat.

If the FO was smart enough, I might suggest that losing the Philly game might be the best thing for us. It would make the last couple weeks of the a season not important. We have a bunch of guys that need rest and could use a game or two off.

When the right tackle went down, it was a completely different game. Just like the first game against Tampa the offensive line was shambles.

I think that contributed to it but we made mistakes before that happen. instead of a 2nd possession when fumble the punt. Dak did not play very well, some directly on him some not. Bottom line is we had to scratch out a win and did so but this team must play better. I think they will

Another view is if we lose the Eagles game, and if we play them in the playoffs. They will be over confident they beat us a 3rd time. Then we beat them.
Heck it may make them over confident against any team and they lose.

I don’t know how it mentally prepares the team, if we win or lose. If all the players have a solid week. They don’t fight with their wives or kids lol. And everything goes smooth. I think they come out and play aggressive. There’s so many variables that go into the attitude I don’t think people even think about it

Cowboys' aspiration doesn't matter if the Eagles don't drop two - with one defeat by the Cowboys - who also have to win out.
I’ve always said, take care of yourself. And not worry about anybody else. That’s what I would do if I was professional control what you can control.

Philly will beat us because we have an undisciplined defense and above average QB play

I know that was a misprint lol Philly is a one-man show stop the quarterback you can beat them. He is just sold his soul type of season.

I remember reading an article early 80’s. It was about biorhythms.
It said that Staubach’s during one of the Steelers losses in the SB was on a down cycle, but the win over Denver it was on a high cycle.

And then you woke up. lol. I hope the Boyz do beat them but I would not put any money on that at all. I think the eagles might kick their butt up and down the field.
