We just took down the world champs

Here's what we learned. Our undrafted free agents and draft picks, "scrubs" looked better than theirs. Was it a good litmus test? Yes. Milton looked light years ahead of last year. We also saw our offensive depth isn't what you'd call quality.
How wasn't it quality?

Brown showed out

Trigg played well

The OL depth did decently

Both QB's played solidly

The other WR's weren't awful

And the RB's: specifically Davis & Abanikanda looked very serviceable if not good.

How did they fail your expectations?

I only speak for myself and not the entire staff, but I would like to personally thank you for your consideration in using the site's Ignore feature. It is most appreciated. :)
It's funny because I enjoy some of the back-and-forth, even when proven wrong (which isn't often, lol). Most of us lead busy lives and come to a forum to express thoughts and beliefs about, well, sports. There are quite a few who just have an inability or unwillingness, or simply are close-minded. I will give a couple of back-and-forths to explain something that somebody may not understand the context of in a comment, as we are all guilty of doing so. After that, it's a last resort. I feel bad for you guys at times

I guarantee you, Seattle wanted to win this game
That’s what made it good for me
I’d love the improvement from Milton
In all due respect, bud, teams may say they want to win preseason games, but the focus is to get out of them healthy and get a look at 2nd- and 3rd-stringers that will most likely be needed to fill important spots during the season. DJ Moore put a scare of death into the Bills....the Bears lost a vital part of their awful D in Bryant, and he will miss the entire season. The Bears destroyed the Browns, but there was likely no celebration afterwards

LOL....all the negative posters on this board would be on the other side of the fence if the Cowboys would have lost. "They have not chance, coaches suck, the season is over. But because they won, "its only a preseason game". Hee Hee

I only have one person on ignore, and he earned it.... The rest of the agitators and hate spewing trolls (like you-know-who) don't bother me so much.

Not even remotely close to being true. Win or lose, it's still a pre-season game. It's one teams draftees, 3rd stringers, and practice squad guys going up against another team playing the same players.

So what if Dallas won last night - only a fool would be rushing out to book his flights to Los Angeles this early, but idiots like this exist.

On the flip side, only a fool would take a pre season loss as a season ender. But those idiots also exist.

You'd think a preseason victory would be kept in perspective; it's meaningless. When the starters play and win, I will be excited and celebrate. The takeaway from this game is the performance of our players; we have a better understanding of what our 2s and 3s are capable of. The win is irrelevant.
Preseason is all about evaluating individual performances to determine which bottom-of-the-roster guys need to move forward. If we're watching for wins and losses, we're watching the wrong thing. Now, I always prefer winning, but when it comes down to whether our fourth-stringers are better than theirs, it doesn't mean much.

what makes you say that
They kept going for it on fourth down,
They want to continue winning ways from winning the Super Bowl
You can see the discuss of the coaches face, should I give you more reasons?

Now this is a good response,
From the atmosphere, I still believe Seattle wanted to win that game,
But I totally understand what you’re saying

It was nice to just watch some football again.
And sure it was a preseason game and meaningless but there were some positives to be taken and it looks as though our backup quarterback situation is better.

Malik Davis looks like he could be the number two running back.

Defense a goal line stand can't even remember when I saw that happen last.

Camden Brown was fun to watch.

Of course some negatives
Preseason but all the penalties bother me.
Blue not very impressive
Special teams yikes.

And even though meaningless game meant for evaluation purposes a win still feels better than a loss.
