Yep.

We lost to 3 of the 4 remaining teams in December which proves we were nothing but a medicore football team when it mattered most.

Besides, Pittsburgh, I bet we were the favorite in each of those games.

What makes me sick is how the games were lost. 1 aspect of the team just folded until the philly game where they all did.

Arizona - Special Teams. 2 TDs on special teams. 1 so improbable its unbelievable.

Pitt - Offense - Romo pick 6 hurt like hell and the inability to hang onto the ball really did the team in.

Ravens - Defense - 2 runs finished off any chance of a game.

Eagles - Every aspect was crap.

How we lost adds to the sick. I can't deny that.

what makes me sick is that we have more talent than all of these teams and that we should be playing in the NFC championship.

what makes me sick is that next year we will still not have what we lacked this year... discipline, focus, attitude, accountability, coaching.

what makes me sick is the JJ will still be the GM

that is what makes me sick

True.

However, it just goes to show you that just because you have the 22 best players doesn't necessarily mean you have the best "team".

When the Patriots beat the "Great Show on Turf" Rams in the Super Bowl there is one thing about that game that I remember more than anything else.

The players on Defense declined to be individually introduced to the crowd. Instead they were introduced as the AFC Champion New England Patriots.

I was impressed and when they won the game, I was not shocked. The Rams were by far the more talented players, the Patriots the more together team.

Well, here's the way I figure...

We played 7 games against playoff teams...

Played another two teams (one of them the 9-7 Bucs) without Romo...

Played two games vs a HUGE rival, the Commanders...

So, that's 11 very tough games.

So all in all, I think our 9-7 record was great. ;)

I think I just took a walk through the mind of Jerry Jones.

I'm trying not to be so devestated by this season.

Does the fact that we lost 3 of those 4 games in the last seconds of each game, AND we split the season series against the other team (Phili - despite getting our arses handed to us in the last game)......

does this mean we are close or not?

I hate having to think this team is a major rebuild away from actually being a competitor for the big trophy.

So the Billion dollar (literally with the value of franchise and new stadium these days) question is whether this team can win one with tweaks in personell (PacMan, Tank, Barbie, maybe an Ellis gone, and a Henry moved to safety), some improved play (Oline more consistent and better run blocking, Romo less turnovers, fewer bad penalties all around), and better coaching/managing (improve the team chemistry, motivate the players, more repetition and tougher practice so they are better prepared).

Can these things take us over the hump? Must be possible with the changing of the guard in playoffs again. Top seeds gone. 5 of 6 in NFC not in last year, etc.

Man I hope so, or I'll be even more depressed!

A. We should not be playing in the NFC Championship! Teams that get this far find out how to do the little things right consistently. We are still an uninspired mistake prone team. Furthermore, I really don't buy the talent crap anymore because if you have talent, then you are used to executing well and your record will reflect that. Dallas record has been an indication that they don't feel they have to put forth the effort to equal their so called talent because they are too busy eating the media cheese during the off-season. Paper champs.

B. Never say never, it's gonna be a long off-season. Gonna have to get it together sometime.

C. so true

Well, this makes me sick.

We have alot of talent, but people need to quit acting like we're some all star team. The theme from the fans, the media, and sadly the players, is "the Cowboys are the most talented team in the league" and I dont see that proven very often for it to be a true categorization of our team.

Yep.

If you watch alot of the Playoff teams, you have quite a few role players and grunts.

The Dallas Cowboys seem to have too many CEOs and too few grunts.

My finger of blame for all of that is pointed directly at Wade.

3 out of the 4 teams have quarterbacks that have been to the superbowl, too.

I'm sure the players are on their couches thinking the same thing right now. :laugh2:

Hopefully we'll get an easier schedule next year so we can get to the playoff again, sincen we can't do it on our own.

It's crazy, why is football so hard?
