We Lost to All 4 Teams Left

Try being 3-0 against the NFC Championship participants...I hate football...

I was thinking about that last night. You were 0-2 against the only other team you played from the NFC, the Giants. If they had won it wouldn't hurt near as bad.

I'm trying not to be so devestated by this season.

Does the fact that we lost 3 of those 4 games in the last seconds of each game, AND we split the season series against the other team (Phili - despite getting our arses handed to us in the last game)......

does this mean we are close or not?

I hate having to think this team is a major rebuild away from actually being a competitor for the big trophy.

So the Billion dollar (literally with the value of franchise and new stadium these days) question is whether this team can win one with tweaks in personell (PacMan, Tank, Barbie, maybe an Ellis gone, and a Henry moved to safety), some improved play (Oline more consistent and better run blocking, Romo less turnovers, fewer bad penalties all around), and better coaching/managing (improve the team chemistry, motivate the players, more repetition and tougher practice so they are better prepared).

Can these things take us over the hump? Must be possible with the changing of the guard in playoffs again. Top seeds gone. 5 of 6 in NFC not in last year, etc.

Man I hope so, or I'll be even more depressed!

No.

Two seasons ago we banged on that dadgum door.
This year we knocked softly and ran away.
Next year we will stand across the street and hope that door not only opens but will fall down and let us in the playoffs.

Having Wade as coach is like getting extra draft picks!

Worst part is we outscored the Iggles 34-20...with 7 of those points should have been called back (DeSean Jackson's PR). Either way -- that's one(1) offensive touchdown in 2 games.

Now, I REALLY hate football.

That is where I disagree. I do NOT necessarily think we have more talent than those teams. I think that for some reason, our fans totally overvalue the talent we have on this team, especially on the OL...

but then the guy (JJ) who got the talent on this team should be held accountable

If it makes you feel any better, they were given the wood-shed treatment by the AFC participants. Our team was consistently bad against those teams, and that is a good thing since Jerry Jones is a big believer in consistency this offseason.

I think the talent discussion is irrelevant. If I could sum up the 2008 Cowboys season in a few words, it would probably read "Stupidity trumps talent."
