We've all expected Tampa Bay to win the NFC South. For the whole year that's been the assumption. This would, based on seeding rules, place Dallas in Tampa Bay for round 1.

But wait. If the Carolina Panthers beat the Bucs this Sunday, and win out against the Saints in their last game...we will start the playoffs with a game in Carolina.

No problem, right? I mighta thought so until Carolina crushed Detroit Sunday, with 320 rushing yards at 7.4 yards per clip.

Panthers also ran for 223 yards earlier this month versus Seattle. ( Before we all completely freak out, it should also be pointed out that on Dec 18 versus Pittsburgh those same Panthers were kittens, 16 carries for 21 yards. )

My opinion: we gonna beat either Bucs or Panthers. Just might not be easy.

No guarantees but Id still rather face Carolina.

also on the flip side the bucs are great at stopping the run with is a strength of ours

I just looked at the Bucs defense, they are a top 5 team at defending the pass, while middle of the pack at defending the run. (Considering the season stats to this point.)
I also looked at the Panthers defense, they are middle of the pack against both the pass and the run.

Looking ahead, the Titans have the 2nd worst pass defense in the league... their run defense is the 2nd best. I wonder how Dallas should attack them, hmmm...

The Red skins have a better than average defense on both counts.

The Cowboys are undefeated in Charlotte when I attend the game in person while wearing my wife's lingerie underneath.

I'll make sure I keep my schedule open in case that scenario plays out.

thank you for your service.

Rooting for Carolina.
Easier for me to run up to Charlotte than to go down to Tampa and participate in the wildcard hoopla!

Prolly easier to score tickets. Cold weather and Christmas weekend might have had something to do with it, but their stadium only looked 60% full when I watched game highlights.

There are zero easy games in the NFL period.

You just have to outscore them.... It's crazy to think you have to score a minimum of 35 points a game to have a chance of winning, but that's what it is.
