We may have the most epic Thanksgiving game in 20 years.

I don't hate change. But I agree with this.

I guess I should have said certain changes. lol Thing that gets me all of these cities who lost teams (outside of LA) currently have teams there was really no reason they should have lost their original team.

I was assuming you weren't one of those "I hate all change" people lol

Again. Agreed on the latter.

To add: the Jets and Giants in New Jersey is whack!

Yeah, New Jersey is a state of their own they should be called the New Jersey Jets and New Jersey Giants. lol Funny thing is the only team who plays in the state of New York is Buffalo. lol

I hate to see teams move to begin with Baltimore should be the Colts, St Louis the Cardinals, LA Rams, Houston Oilers. I hate change. lol

Then wouldn't they have to go back to being the Chicago Cardinals? They were a founding member of the NFL and spent their first 40 seasons as a franchise in Chicago, which is the longest tenure they have had in any city.

good point. lol

Even though this matchup can be a great, I always thought the last epic matchup was in 98. The reason is that I thought the Cowboys would win but they were facing an exciting team in the Vikings.

What made that matchup special to me was that the Cowboys were finally at their peak after Aikman returned from injury.

95 was a good matchup but I never thought the Chiefs had a chance imo. I still remember that Irvin td catch. Amazing.

Actually it would be better, if We continued to win all our games, and Philly losses every game walking into our house.

That way, even if we lose, we can still laugh at their record, and trophy case.

Well, the Colts were originally the Dallas Texans, the Cardinals were originally in Chicago (were there before the Bears, BTW), and the Rams were originally in Cleveland.

Change extends very far in the NFL.

The Dallas Texans, under the ownership of Lamar Hunt, moved to Kansas City and became the Chiefs.

The original Dallas Texans (yes, there were two of them) were an underfinanced team that collapsed in its initial season of 1952. The team ended up turning operations over to the league, and had to play its remaining schedule on the road because they owed a lot of money to the stadium owners in Dallas.

The league then sold the team to Carroll Rosenbloom, who then moved the team to Baltimore, where they became the Colts.

Amazing.

I think the teams did well to last 2 or three years back in those days.

I was a member of the Dallas Texans Huddle Vlub in 1959-60. I was mad when they moved, but another team came to town.

The Cards are no push over team. Beating them will be a hard fought. As for the Giants in their house... could be easy, could be a disaster. I never count divisional games as "easy" before they are played. The Boys could easily lose both of these games. So going into the Thanksgiving game, I don't think it's going to be easy to get there with only the one loss that we already have.
