I think we are keeping 4 TEs Because McKeons blocking is IMO needed. We have a lot of depth and talent on defense we will rotate and keep. We have a big potential injury issue on the OL And probably need to go deep there. We have 3 WRs who are going to dominate snaps. I just don’t see us keeping 6 WRs unless both of the bottom 2 are great at running down on STs. What benefit are we getting from having both WR5 and WR6? I think that roster spot is better served elsewhere

I do see us keeping 6 WRs .. another note, Gallup seems like he'll get hurt again at some tpoint .. he seems to be following that trend every year.

That's why I think we need that Cedrick Wilson type WR. .. only thing about the 5th and 6th WR, Simi and Tolbert, neither one offer a return game like Wilson did.

I would really feel comfortable With

Lamb
Cooks
Gallup
Tolbert
Fehoko
Turpin

What say you ?????
I don't know about Fehoko. Haven't seen anything yet to suggest he should be kept. Tolbert at least has the rookie excuse for last year.

I do think six receivers is likely. I just think instead of Fehoko, it could be Houston, Durden, Cropper-Moreno, Tyron Johnson, Brooks, Drummond, Stephens Jr. and Barbon. Of those, I think the first four have the best shot at unseating Fehoko. (Houston earned a spot last year and could show improvement.)

Cowboys have a lot of WR's. Not only will 6 make the 53, some (3 maybe 4) will end up on the PS.

Turpin would not be on the team but for Special Teams.
That list is 5WRs and one Return Specialist.

Tolbert and Fehoko combined for 36 yards last year.
Not just last year. *In their careers*.

After the top 3, we've got nothing.

On the bright side, I think Pollard and Deuce could be a big part of the passing game.

What are you basing your comment on gallop getting hurt on? He hasn't been an injury prone player....he had one major injury in 2021 that he was still dealing with in 2022, other than that he only missed a couple of games since he came into the league.

There is no reason to think he is injury prone based on a single major season ending injury

Simi already plays on special teams. Tolbert doesn't.

If Deuce picks up returning both punts and kickoffs and shows he can do them well, Turpin might be the odd man out since Turpin did absolutely nothing in the passing game. Deuce is a proven legit weapon in the passing game.

The WR who might take over Turpin's WR spot might be newly signed Tyron Johnson. He can legitimately take the deep top end off of opposing Defenses, something Turpin never did last season (what a waste).

I can see Turpin being let go. Especially with the new fair catch rule and kick returner being devalued to an extent. And who knows if he has value as a WR because he isn't used by the team as one so there's no real body of work.

Yeah, the new rule makes Turpin less valuable. So he is going to have to show something as a WR to stick.
