I mean I checked this out you've been on this site since 2004 and you only come in pop in have like 3 or 4 things to say per year and then pop out and most of them are all troll like nonsense...

If you don't understand the difference between what you think you see with your eyes and you found with analytics and flat out production I gave you side by side production from other tight ends that are well known in this league including Mr. Dalton Schultz when I think he's your boyfriend maybe? I mean is Dalton Schultz with you are you guys doing a podcast are you trying to talk up a dude that has so little production this year it's laughable you mentioned his name...

This guy doesn't realize I put him on ignore and I can't see him now but let's talk about separation rates it's kinda crazy right we all know the offense is 1 dimensional right now the blocking's not well everyone's talking about separation rates and somehow Prescott lamb and Ferguson are all in the top five or six in production this year what we need to happen is score more in the red zone cut down on the turnovers in the red zone and score on those not just three but seven we've had so many opportunities we're moving the ball up and down the field and it turns out to be three or zero we need to score more. The production is on par with where these guys were last year and we had one of the top scoring offenses last year that's the difference,

our office should be better than it was last year looking on paper and yet it's the scoring that's the difference between this year and last year is scoring we're not scoring anywhere near on pace with last year but as far as moving the ball receptions yards they're doing a pretty damn good job of it it's almost the same as last year at the same time and remember how after the buy last year things took off maybe they will this year maybe Mike McCarthy himself needs the bye week and all the criticism to switch everything up....

Sure, but first step is to maybe reduce the 455 touches a game Zeke is getting

Help me out as I fall in the less knowledgeable category.

I'm guessing the numbers are: Receptions/Yards/TDs/1st downs...and I have no clue what the other numbers represent. Heck I'm not even sure about the ones I guessed.

By the way I think it's hilarious when I was looking around on the page to find Dalton Schultz on the last page for receptions you know there's only two spots behind him almost identical numbers that be Rico dowdles receiving numbers are almost as good as Dalton Schultz that's hilarious we should bring him back I mean seriously he's the key we're the missing piece is Dalton Schultz who knew question mark note thick sarcasm?

Oh by the way you don't realize it I believe Dalton Schultz now makes about $11 million a year somewhere in there and Ferguson is on a rookie deal and his numbers are twice as good that's odd right you wanna bring back a guy that's gonna eat up your salary cap and wasn't going to be better than who you have now under a rookie deal the irony of this thread just keeps getting better

yes I just did a simple copy and paste right off the NFL stat list on their websites you go look I posted the rest of them I think the irony here is Dalton Schultz makes 10 or $11 million his numbers are pathetic this year compared to Ferguson who's in the top three or four and tight ends right now his numbers are almost as good as amari Cooper's I don't get where this came from that's my point I just pulled out a lot of dudes that people are talking about the bigger name tight ends and he's right right up there or better than all of them in a season where our offense and our whole team is in a shambles and yet he's still producing he's doing it quietly where we need to get better at is scoring touchdowns that's the only difference between this year's and last year's offense is scoring especially touchdowns..

This team got hot after the bye last year and scoring touchdowns so let's see if Mike McCarthy and this offense and maybe with the help of the defense being a little better I think the numbers were all go up but as far as yards and receptions with Prescott CD lamb and Ferguson is almost all the same in the first six games and Ferguson's only played five games.

The guy knew how to get separation. Yeah he wasn’t a star but he got open - more so than Ferguson who rarely creates space. Beasley is another example of a good route runner who was always open.

Dak desperately needs another pass catcher that can create at least a couple yards of separation in Zone or 1:1 coverage

Tolbert isn’t quick/explosive enough, cooks is old, Ferguson is typically blanketed and CD is being doubled.
I know nothing, nothing. Thank you Colonel Hogan.

Anyway we will not have a successful passing attack or running game until we attack the 10-20 yard zone . We must back people off . It's no coincidence that when teams get ahead, our passing AND running games come alive. Same as when we play bad defenses and they can't generate pressure so they play soft zones. We have a lot of success attacking the 10-15 yd range. Sorry folks but until we attack the tight throws off a 3 second drop, we WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL AGAINST GOOD DEFENSES
Needless to say, it may be awhile, like 3 seasons.

Schultz wasn’t someone you give big money to. Even the one year on the tag was too much to pay him. He is nice for fantasy stats, not reality.

This is what happens when you back yourself into a situation of figuring you’re going to replace a starting player with the draft. For as much as they count on rookies, they also couldn’t see what they already had in Ferguson. Great.

It was a deep draft for TE, they passed on LaPorta for Mazi, then there was a run on the position early on in the second, and they panicked.

Schultz was absolutely horrible at run blocking, and Mike always claims to want to run the ball….until they can’t, so they don’t.

You’ve gotta sign a free agent here and there (so you don’t have to force draft picks) if you want to have success in this league but Jerry and his kid think otherwise. Let’s depend on rookies.

Well, the hollow 12 win seasons (thx Wash and NY) put you at the end of the draft and it’s catching up. They had their window and took a pass. They aren’t good at this.

I like both players and am mostly finding fault with Mikes scheme. Too many receivers sitting down in the same area.

:muttley::lmao2:dude seriously do research heck Furgeson's numbers are as good or better than Amari cooper and Furg missed a game this year..so please dont post because this OPPINION is wrong. Our offence is in shambles and Jake Ferguson missing a game this year still is within the top five to six tight ends...literally DS played all 6 Furgeson 5 hmm looks like JF is close to kittels and beter than kelce..
It is pure and simple our offense needs to get a little better but you're exaggerating and you didn't even provide any information like I did you're welcome.

Not sure how 'separation' can be judged via stats but production can be evaluated better with more data. NFL.com gives good standard fare. I suggest pro-football-reference.com for more relevant information:

In my opinion, Sam LaPorta would be the unquestionable number one tight end in the league (despite Travis Kelcie having a down year thus far) IF he were targeted as much this season as last year during his rookie season. Detroit's offense is potent enough to not throw to him regularly. Still, it is a waste.

Not sure why Amari Cooper was grouped with tight ends. Not sure why Amari Cooper is being held to any standard within that Cleveland offense either.

Edit: Dallas Goedert was injured during the Eagles/Browns game.
