why do we need a deep threat? if he's covered our guy will get confused and scared and run into a sack or he will under, over throw the receiver from fear. wow, can't believe it took people this long to see what has been obvious for a while.

oh, it's because they still are hating romo and hope this loser can vilify their hatred for romo. oh crap, that was so obvious a caveman could see it.

Antonio Brown is free and would be the receiver on the team upon arrival. Just kidding but not on being the best receiver.

I kept posting all game long why we aren't at least trying to keep them honest and go deep a couple of times....nothing, ALL game long....stupid!!!

Critics will say that since opposing secondaries are backing up and playing more zones vs Dak, that this would be better off "taking what the defense gives us "

My argument against that is it should be an in-between ... it's one thing to take what the defenses gives us ... it's another to take what you want from the defense ..

We still see teams like Seattle Chiefs Green Bay Cincy ,Buff ..even the Raiders test the deep ball. ..even against zones.

Dude Dak can’t throw deep balls get out of town.
This team is loaded with deep threats. Our QB doesn’t throw deep anymore. Why, I have no idea.
We can bring back Rocket Ismael from the 90s and Dak still wouldn't throw it deep.
Why have a deep threat when your QB can only throw it 5-10 yards ?

I think a lot of us were hoping that Lamb would be that guy, but he hasn’t improved since his rookie year. He also doesn’t have the hands that Gallup and Cooper have.

Jefferson was the one that got away.

Or a have changing t e . Schultz is good , but does he change the Game? He dies t force defenses to change coverage. He’s good when they focus in the receivers. Now the deep threat, Gallup is considered it. But he rubs 4.51. He gets deep on double moves or on 3rd corners. The fastest guy is cooper but he got too big. We need a 3rd receiver who can beat you with speed alone. That’ll change this offense.
Ps nine if that will matter if the q b processes too slow and has inconsistent accuracy.
Agreed.

We had two. Now we have one. Dak can’t hit them or won’t. There’s no way we can’t use Dak to CD like The Bengals use Burrow to Chase. There’s also no reason we can’t use Dak to Cooper like GB uses Rodgers to Adams. The only reason is the QB can’t do it for some reason and the OC won’t make him do it.

We have deep threats....Dak just seems afraid to push the ball down the field anymore.

With Gallup gone probably for good who knows , the Eagles game would be a start to getting Wilson & Turner involved early and stop throwing Lamb the ball parallel to the line of scrimmage . Venture out into the world send him on a 15 to 20 yard adventure , he might even RAC I’ve seen it with my own eyes !

So according to your stat Dak has thrown 569 'deep balls' in 2021....interesting seeing as how he has a TOTAL of 569 passing attempts in 2021......so in other words every one of Dak's passes have been 'deep balls'......yeah,okay. Try again as that stat only is reflective of total passes by a QB, not their 'deep balls'.

Dak's longest pass per year:

2016: 83 yards
2017: 81 yards
2018: 90 yards
2019: 62 yards
2020: 58 yards
2021: 51 yards

So while longest pass includes RAC by a WR/RB and doesn't represent true 'air yards', what you can see is that in spite of Dak getting more offensive weapons in the form of Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Pollard....his longest pass stat has actually decreased every season since 2019......and you wonder why some question Dak's lack of arm strength.

no we dont we need an OL to block long enough and form an actual pocket and create a run game so we can throw deeper. We have far too many skill players and not enough blockers to make plays develop and actually be successful
