Seeing Dallas live ;

The offense is SMALL- Deuce - Pollard - Turpin - tiny .
Cooks is hard to see - really really short out there .
Ferguson has trouble getting separation- Hendershot is a backup .
Rico is smallish too ,

Schultz was a big target with great hands and really knew how to find a pocket and got open on 3rd downs.

Dak throws a high over the middle ball which has hurt him over the years.

Before the deadline we need a big TE or Possession WR over the middle.

I like all of the aforementioned plus CeeDee but I know what I saw .

Listening to mad dog on xm right now he said the same and so did a few callers.

Dak needs a guy he can safety valve too over the middle ala Dalton.

I’d wait. We came out flat on offense last year too. And plus the weather last night was a factor.

I think they have options in house that they need to develop.....Schoonmaker & Ferguson are the obvious answers. Even if you go grab another WR I have to believe that Lamb is going to get the bulk of slot snaps and be that inside guy regardless. The offense overall seems to be looking towards getting guys in space and stretching out defenses by playing more sideline to sideline. I'm not sure that the Cowboys would have any interest in spending a draft pick on another skill player unless we see an injury or the offense really stalls.

Is this thread a parody. They scored 40 and it was awful weather. And this was the first team offence first real game action this year…enjoy the win…and Dak did not turn the ball over in AWFUL weather…

Let’s blow it up. 40-0 is not good enough.
That was my initial reaction when I opened the thread, but when you step back there is a decent argument to be made here. I'm extremely skeptical that the Cowboys are shopping for toys right now, but size is certainly missing, especially if a TE doesn't step up in the coming weeks. I think the better question is do the Cowboys care, and the answer may be no based on what I saw last night.

I think they have all the weapons and possession type guys they need. What they need to do is make sure there is a safety valve option designed into each play. I'm pretty sure that is already the case and it's up to Dak to recognize a little sooner when the safety value is the best option. I see it getting better with more experience in the new offense.
