Schoon n Ferg are bigger targets than Shultz. Dallas has weapons you just have to give them time to gel.

Damn you guys want everything at all pro level it seems. Most rankings have this receiving corps in the 5-8 range I've seen. Dak has a Cadillac of offense weapons compared to the vast majority of the league.

If anything you look for more OL depth over anything else.

Seeing Dallas live ;

The offense is SMALL- Deuce - Pollard - Turpin - tiny .
Cooks is hard to see - really really short out there .
Ferguson has trouble getting separation- Hendershot is a backup .
Rico is smallish too ,

Schultz was a big target with great hands and really knew how to find a pocket and got open on 3rd downs.

Dak throws a high over the middle ball which has hurt him over the years.

Before the deadline we need a big TE or Possession WR over the middle.

I like all of the aforementioned plus CeeDee but I know what I saw .

Listening to mad dog on xm right now he said the same and so did a few callers.

Dak needs a guy he can safety valve too over the middle ala Dalton.
This was one game only. Can't make decisions based on that.

Admittedly the RB's aren't large, although Rico is decent sized, and Luepke is 6'1" 238. Luepke likely won't get many carries though.

Schultz wasn't any bigger than the TE's the Cowboys have now. I'm not saying he wasn't a better receiver, but you were talking about size.

As for Cooks, yes, he's a smaller receiver, but QB's have seen him well enough for him to have 1,000+ yard seasons in 6 of his 9 years in the NFL.

Bottom line is let's let things play out a bit.

I'm not a Dak believer, but I'm not holding last night against him. Weather didn't allow the passing game.
Hold last night against him?? How many of his passes were dropped - including one or two for TDs. And for the record - Dak will have you believing by the end of the month. He's going to have a hell of a season.

After your prediction that the Giants would blowout rhe Cowboys, maybe you should hold off on what they need. You were only off about 80 points in week 1.
Yeah, he blew his prediction big time, but I wouldn’t be talking about anyones calls after seeing your prediction for Vaughn in the opener. You had him running loose scoring a couple of TDs. Lol You’ve been hyping him up ever since we drafted him and he wouldn’t have even seen the field if didn’t have such a big lead. He ended up with 6 carries for 8 yards in mop up duty. You and XXL Mike need a new crystal ball.

Let’s blow it up. 40-0 is not good enough.
It’s definitely good enough, but it won’t always be there. We are missing the playmaker tight end. It easily could’ve been 47.

Dak has more than enough to win a Super Bowl. It's all on him.
Dak can be like the Trent Dilver and win a SB with the way our D can be if they sustain a less than 17-20 score

Different times/ rule but that was Landrys goal

LOL, ok. He's 30, he's been here 8 years, and he's now slower than me.

He was sailing balls high and everywhere last night. But it was raining hard, so no big deal there.

Next week will be a better barometer, but we really won't know until meaningful playoff games against good teams. He's been bad in those games.

Let's wait on that. Ferguson will settle down hopefully.

For many offensive starters this was their first action of the year. They were little rusty, that's all.

We literally have weapons at all skill positions on offense. The only downside I would say is TE.

Biadasz was not very good last night. Tyron Smith is a an if history repeats itself waiting to happen. The TE room looks it could it take a trim/trade.
Well if there is an all pro C out there on the block then sign me up for bringing them to replace Biadasz, just doesn’t seem realistic to me. I’d be all for it just not sure how realistic that is.

We need a plan b on Tyron for sure, but I think we already have that with Tyler smith. Based on the showing from Odoga/Bass last night I feel pretty good there.

I am looking at the OL holistically. They have no room to cut anyone from that group.

You should just shut up. You claimed that Deuce wouldn't make the team and have been in denial on how good this team is. I wonder what would have happened if the Giants hadn't called timeout when they put Deuce in on the goal line in the 1st quarter.

Bottom line we have fans who post stupid stuff just so they can read and snipe at the responses. Sad, truly sad.

Maybe it’s you who needs to clam up. I said “repeatedly” from the day we drafted Vaughn that he would make the team and that Jerry would see to it. They made too big a deal about drafting him for him not to make the team. Everyone knows exactly what I said because I had a number of arguments and if you want to post blatant lies go ahead. Your credibility is shot anyway. It would take some time with this new format but I could dig up my quotes. I also said Vaughn wouldn’t be one of our top two backs entering the season…BINGO! I kept telling you and a few others, but you wouldn’t listen. I’ve been saying the entire time he’s not going to get near as many touches as some of you think he’s going to get. You need to stop babbling all the time, making silly predictions and listen to people who actually know football. You just got owned! :thumbup:By the way, here’s another one of your silly predictions. Click on the quote it will take you to a thread that proves a lot of what I’ve been saying. Lol

Deuce should have a lot of all purpose yards.

If I didn’t think Vaughn was going to make the team, then why did I make these comments before the cuts? Lol Click on the comments for the dates. Where did I say he wasn’t going to make the team? I said repeatedly he would make the team. I’m going to prove just what type of fan you are. I’m not done digging.

I just don’t see the Cowboys starting the regular season pairing Pollard with an undersized rookie sixth round pick. They’ll gradually work Vaughn in similar to what they did with Pollard when he arrived, if he’s making some plays.
There’s not going to be enough balls to go around for all the backs. Baring injury Pollard and probably Dowdle will be our first two backs. Vaughn will be worked in slowly, so anyone expecting a lot of touches from him is going to be sadly disappointed, at least early in the season. His role could change depending on how our running game does. He’s so short he could get lost behind the OL, making it difficult to locate him. The Cowboys could find situation’s in the redzone where he might be real effective. If defenders have trouble locating him, he could hit a seam and dart into the endzone.
