We need to beat the Giants

Gonna be tough... first game of the season is always tougher than normal due to the first team finally getting on the field. You never know how they will perform, or underperform,... lately, results not good. But we shall see. Just good to finally get this thing started.

I think we have the distinct advantage because of the new changes to the offense and with Zeke no longer here.

We have some real weapons in the running game and out of the backfield. Before this the DC basically knew we would come out and trying to run zeke. No more of that nonsense. This is a much more dangerous and speedy team. Short passing game gets things out quickly and the run game will be completely different.

Cowboys will have to account for Waller out of the gate on defense.

Agree that we need to win this game, but I'm just not buying the Giants. They have some decent piece, but over achieved this year and that success will be difficult to duplicate. Is there a single position group you would rather have from the Giants than the Cowboys? Maybe RB?

Fair argument, but that guy hasn't played a full season since 2020 including just 388 yards in 9 games last year. Now north of 30 I'm pretty torn on the guy. NYG has the most talented player as far as TE goes between the two teams, but all things factored in I'd rather have the Cowboys group of players at the position. Feels like the Giants have the higher ceiling at the position, the Cowboys the higher floor.

I started that thread and nowhere did I say we needed to lose or that I wanted us to lose. Just the simple fact that's how those seasons had started. Learn to read.

Tight End probably.

I think what concerns me about the Giants week 1 is that we don't really know what they're going to be. A lot of question marks with their passrush and receiving corps (including Waller) and just how their offense is going to operate..

If the Cowboys can block and are fairly sharp on offense, they're the better team. But NYG should be able to generate explosives much better than they have in the past.
