You keep bringing up the Eagles playoff loss as if that one game should carryover to this present season…..what about your playoff loss to SF? Does that loss carryover too? If it does, then we both have last game losses to erase and overcome, not just my boys.

You're a tad sensitive. This is literally the first time I've brought up the Eagles playoff loss.

Secondly we at least competed with sanfran. Yall were dominated. It wasn't close. Cmon man.

I am not worried about the Giants. Teams with a winning record that have a negative point differential for the year have generally been very lucky or has won an above average number of close games. There will be regression to the mean. Same for the Vikings. Never has a team gone 13-4 and had a negative point differential.

Agree that we need to win this game, but I'm just not buying the Giants. They have some decent piece, but over achieved this year and that success will be difficult to duplicate. Is there a single position group you would rather have from the Giants than the Cowboys? Maybe RB?

The following are the guys that I would take over guys on your team one on one position by position. They might not necessarily be better today but I believe they will be and I’d rather have that potential:

Graham Gano, K
Andrew Thomas, LT
Sexy Dexy, DT
Kayvon Thibs , Edge
john Michael Schmitz, C
Daniel Jones, QB
Xavier McKinney, S
Saquon Barkley, RB
Darren Waller, TE
Jalin Hyatt (over Michael Gallup)
Deonte Banks (over Gilmour based on age difference)

Some guys not on this list i might consider a draw with your guy who is opposite.

So, what do you think?

True, you did compete, and we didn’t….but we both still lost. You might chuckle over this, but I can get over a blow out loss much better than a gut wrenching loss, so I’m okay with the beating. I was ecstatic we made the playoffs and one a playoff game. Who predicted that?

Good point…duly noted. I hope my boys can overcome this too, especially with a much harder schedule.

I will be waiting for the meltdowns in the game thread. As we go on offense first. 3 pages of it. Even though NY wins the toss and defers. So Dallas had no control over it.
Though I am sure many will blame Dak for calling the wrong side of the coin.
'jazzcat22' - won't do game thread commentary for 2023 season.
And rarely did it before, to be honest.
1) Rather just take pleasure in watching the action unfold...and view what subsequently happens..play-by-play, next series, each quarter, without typing \ texting a response.

2) A third to a half of me watching Cowboys games\ the NFL during a season is doing it with friends at my/their home, or at a sports bar. The comaraderie that exists with people I know --- or the back-and-forth with strangers that support their teams ---is far more entertaining than bangin' out what I saw on every other play on my laptop or phone.

3) AND - I equally enjoy just watching games by myself on a Sunday‐--
those invoving the Cowboys, and other teams.

Mckinney isn't better than Donovan Wilson lol

And banks will be better than Gilmore? Huh

The defense will come to play for sure. It's the offense I'm worried about.

I think they are going to be dangerous and underrated this year. A playoff team if we don’t take care of business. I could see them going 11-6 and us going 10-7 if we lose to them here. Take care of business and get that W
I disagree. I really think we need to lose this game

Sure you guys have some individuals that I would swap out for the Cowboys counterpart, no doubt about that. I was looking at it from more of a positional group as a whole....Oline/Dline/WRs/etc, but Ill play along....

Dexter Lawrence is a no brainer. Thomas as well. After that it becomes pretty up in the air and dependent upon who the comp is. Thibbs over Parsons? No insult to Thibideoux, but there is no chance. Thibs/Dlaw is a good argument, but I'd probably give the edge to Thibs as he has the higher ceiling. I'm even a luke warm Dak guy, but can't imagine taking DJ over Dak. Waller I think there is a very good argument for, hes certainly the most talented TE on either team, but at the same time if you're going to factor in age/potential you have to go with the Cowboys group. Barkley/Pollard I think is a wash, but wouldn't push back on anyone who preferred Barkley. Seems like you're changing the criteria in each situation to fit the Giants player argument, and a lot of that is based on the best case scenario working out for a rookie.

I dont think the Giants are bad either. I do expect a hard fought game, but I believe Dallas should pull away a bit in the second half. I've said it before but they are building something there. I personally think another year or so before it really comes to fruition.

I completely understand losing big as opposed to having your heart ripped out. Most Cowboys fans can relate. When you have games like the Dez catch/non-catch they haunt you forever.

I wasn't surprised when you guys beat the Vikings. I expected it to be honest.
Glad we didn’t disappoint. No doubt, the Vikes 13-4 season last year has to go down as the biggest “fool ya” season in all of sports. Of course, you guys werent surprised seeing that you crushed them 40-3.

No way this happens….none whatsoever. Cole Beasley might suit up though, but not Houston. I doubt slot receiver WanDale Robinson is activated because he is still just 9 months removed from ACL surgery, but I expect Sterling Shepard to be activated along with Beasley.

Campbell, Hyatt, Hodgins, Slayton will make the six WRs. I doubt Houston is activated unless we have a couple of injuries from the above named 6.

The Giants got themselves a nice PS WR who should see action at some point . He caught everything thrown his way in Dallas . Too many numbers for him here .
