Serious question.um.... wow really.
Serious question.um.... wow really.
It's worse than that.
We could have had Ramsey at 4 and Henry in the 2nd.
Instead we got Zeke at 4 and Jaylon Smith in the 2nd.
Completely screwed the pooch.
Henry was always going in the 2nd round.yeh but that's utterly hindsight seeing Henry felled into 2nd rd.
And zeke was not only a game breaker but he was a 2 time rushing champ.
we would not have kept Ramsey long as he is headcase and would have eventually price demanded himself to be traded
He is with his 3rd NFL team.
That's basically where it starts and ends .... freakin' Jason Garrett !!No the elephant in the room is " that this team beat Zeke into the ground " and had him play on one leg for 12 games to put the nail in his coffin. As for "awful at football." The numbers say different. No longer a beast to be sure.. but "awful?" That's just hater talk. And I repeat over the last two seasons Henry has missed more games than Zeke has and has had more awful games (sub 3 ypc) than Zeke has had. Look it up.. The biggest difference is that he keeps getting the ball in those games where he stinks whereas Zeke has been sharing the load. So Henry's aggregate numbers are better.. No argument here.. but he gets more opportunities because his team has fewer options. To his credit, he delivers most of the time.. but he fails a lot too.. but no one seems to want to talk about that.
yep...dumb threadIts like we have fans that dont pay attention to what happens... "We cut Zeke, good he was overpriced and on the backside of his career".... "Hey lets go trade for Derrick Henry, overpaying him is nothing like zeke!"..jesus
Totally agree! Henry would be ideal but I’d even take Cook if the Vikings release him. Feels like we are overestimating our RBs like we did our WRs last year.Figure out a way to get Derrick Henry on this squad. I do NOT trust a duo of Pollard-Jones at the end of the season where defenses will be priming for a playoff run. Henry-Pollard would be built for December football.
That's what we're doing. We're hoping Pollard is the same when he comes back. And what if he gets injured and is out for multiple weeks? We have an unproven rookie and who else?Totally agree! Henry would be ideal but I’d even take Cook if the Vikings release him. Feels like we are overestimating our RBs like we did our WRs last year.
Once you put that helmet with the star on your head you’re half way to the Hall of Fame. It doesn’t matter what your name is or what you’ve done up to that point. All Dallas Cowboys are automatically great. That's what we're doing. We're hoping Pollard is the same when he comes back. And what if he gets injured and is out for multiple weeks? We have an unproven rookie and who else?
Your . How many posts have we read that said, ‘RBs are plug and play’. Well, they aren’t. Pollard will be the best back on the team and he can only carry a limited load. The upside is that McCarthy runs the west coast offense, so lots of short passes that are essentially running plays. I do think our WR group will do fine in MM’s offense.First yall say rbs are a dime a dozen then we need 2 pro bowl backs. Cowboy fans something else
He will be cut. Book it!Not exactly what he said.......... not receiving calls is a bit different from NOT being on the trading block
If the Tennessee Titans are planning to trade Derrick Henry, that's news to Ran Carthon. The Titans general manager shut down the social media report that the team is looking to trade Henry, admitting the team hasn't received any calls on the star running back.
"We also were apparently trading Jeffery Simmons at one point and during that entire period we were negotiating his deal," Carthon said when asked about Henry. "There's things I want to say, but I won't. It is what it is.
"We won't do business in public. I always lean on taking care of the player and taking care of the family."
There has been no indication of Henry leaving the Titans or getting traded to another organization, but the three-time Pro Bowler does have one year remaining on his contract with a base salary of $10.5 million. His cap number is $16,367,647 for 2023, the final year of a four-year deal with the Titans he signed in 2020.
Sounds almost identical to our wr situation entering last season. Good player coming off major injury and we are expecting them to play at the pre-injury level. Then we have a rookie who may or may not even see the field and some scrubs and castoffs. The WR at least had Ceedee to rely on. There are big ?s on every player we have in the RB room. That's what we're doing. We're hoping Pollard is the same when he comes back. And what if he gets injured and is out for multiple weeks? We have an unproven rookie and who else?
Who else will it be? At this point you’re already praying a 6th round rookie can not only get playing time but become a major contributor. A cool story doesn’t mean anything.RBBC.
Won't be just Pollard-Jones.
Keep the draft capital.
KC won a sb with who was it at RB..RBBC can be duplicated., we have Hunter, Vaughn, and Malik to go with Jones and umm our 10Mil #1 back pollard who will get most of the carries. BTW Philly got to sb with Sanders and a bunch of jags Pollard is sanders...Who else will it be? At this point you’re already praying a 6th round rookie can not only get playing time but become a major contributor. A cool story doesn’t mean anything.
The problem is the price wont be right... his cap hit is 16 mill, if they trade him the save 6 but the other team STARTS at 16. so 6 mill for Zeke, 10 mill for TP and 16 mill for Henry???? we were six in rushing last year what does this extra 12 mill get us because it wont be some historical rushing number. If the price is right, why not? Henry and Pollard? I’m totally down…..think if the line gels and gets good…..Henry still has some in the tank and with Pollard and the outside weapons and the defend….could be nice (as long as Dak doesn’t mess it up).
