Titans are rebuilding and Henry has 1 maybe 2 elite years left.

Dallas should 100% be trying to get him.

We can’t keep putting big games in Dak’s hands and expecting a good result.
He wasn’t traded during the draft and will be floating out there til the trade deadline while the Titans look for heavy compensation on top of the contract. It’s a pipe dream like Deandre Hopkins and the Cardinals situation. Both teams are posturing, nothing more!

Maybe we can Trade Dak for Malik Willis and Henry. We probably have to throw in a high round pick to balance the trade.

Seems far-fetched. I remember, in the 16 draft, the two highest-touted RBs were Zeke and Henry. We obviously made the wrong choice because we didn't win the SB that year. Zeke burned out so hard and Henry is still trucking.

Figure out a way to get Derrick Henry on this squad. I do NOT trust a duo of Pollard-Jones at the end of the season where defenses will be priming for a playoff run. Henry-Pollard would be built for December football.
While at it, let's figure out how to get Aaron Donald and Pat Mahomes.

LOL.....you just mentioned Cooks's injury issues above. TP is coming off a serious injury, not to mention 20 touches a game is close to his max. What happen in the 49ers game when he went down and we DIDN'T have a quality replacement?

That's why the subtraction from declining lumbering Zeke matters.
Less touches from that lumbering effect.. to more touches to the gamebreaker.
And I'm hoping fans understand touches vs carries ?

- That's also why the talk of " Zeke returning " would not make sense.

- Zeke could not give us splash- difference making plays at his stage vs Niners
and the brass did not trust rookie Malik Davis enuff in his capacity (blowing and whiffing blitz blocks did not help matters)

- The ball is in Pollard's backyard now. And assuming we have a competent coaching staff that will know how to be best utilized and maximize his complete skill set as an all purpose player
both run and catch
He's not only our most dangerous back, but he's emerged as one of the more dangerous game breaking RBs in the NFL.

- The vibe i get here on this forum board, is there are some that are stuck on 90's Emmitt Smith and 2016 Zeke days that
we need that pounding bell cow and they cannot think or envision beyond that.

That’s one player how many more can you name? Sproles, was an inch taller and listed 10 pounds heavier. As good as he was he never rushed for more than 603 yards in a season and he never carried the ball more than 94 times in a season. He averaged about four carries per game, In his 14 year career he only scored 23 rushing TDs. Zeke had 12 rushing TDs just last season. I’m pulling for Vaughn but I don’t see where he’s going to get a ton of opportunities. He’ll get opportunities as a returner and in the passing game. Plus, they’ll probably have some gimmick plays for him but we need a pair a big, power back with Pollard who can push piles when there’s nowhere to run. There’s going to be games where it’s going to be like running into a brick wall and you need a load back there, not a Smurf jitter bugging around looking for a crease.
Maurice Drew jones comes to mind. not as small, but small for NFL measures. Dave Meggett,

I don't think Vaughn is a carry the load RB. neither was sproles. so he is a gadget guy for 5,6 plays a game. that's all you need. give the defense something to have to think about and prepare for.

He’ll be a returner on KO’s and they may even give him a crack at returning punts. They’ll have some gadget plays for him and they’ll try and use him as a receiver in the slot. The whole mission with him is to try and get him out in space where he has some room to maneuver.

It’s not that..

Henry is a force of nature.

I wouldn’t take any other back besides him really.

This is a 1 or 2 year thing that I believe dramatically improves our odds of a Super Bowl.
I was just kidding ya'll. The "zeke hate" fun is fading fast. Had to get another one in while I could! :p

It's worse than that.

We could have had Ramsey at 4 and Henry in the 2nd.

Instead we got Zeke at 4 and Jaylon Smith in the 2nd.

Completely screwed the pooch.

I know Ramsey got drafted by a bad team but who's to say he would've have liked it here? The act of Players on their rookie deals requesting trades should be banned by the NFL.

Stop stop stop you all keep saying this do you realize that Pollard is going to make $10 million against the cap that we have $6 million in debt cap from zeke's contract then we have other running backs on this roster how much money do you think we could keep adding to just one position?

we may pick up a vet min bigger back before the season but in no way is a big-name high-priced RB coming here nor would we trade picks for one. STOP!

this si a capped league only so much money and spaces available. Not even on the mind of the FO not at all. RBBC coming. If that what fans wanted as keyboard gms Pollard should have been let go. Henry and cooks have not played in a SB, not many big names backs on their biggest deals have played in a SB, they have not carried a team to a SB.

again, stop and NOPE

lets watch camps and PS games and see the RBs perform. then we can talk more about what that room looks lie game 1.

stop crying  . The constant crying over spilt history that in the rear view AND was dream as if, if we did change history of that draft and pick Ramseys that Henry's there for us., no guarantee AT ALL once one team changes that pick the rest go differently, Hindsight is nice but the fans need to stop thinking thats how it would have fell should we have not taken Zeke and history from that draft and ahead all change for many teams..

Henry didn’t play much to start his career and the elephant in the room is he’s still good at football where as Zeke is awful at football.
No the elephant in the room is that this team beat Zeke into the ground and had him play on one leg for 12 games to put the nail in his coffin. As for "awful at football." The numbers say different. No longer a beast to be sure.. but "awful?" That's just hater talk. And I repeat over the last two seasons Henry has missed more games than Zeke has and has had more awful games (sub 3 ypc) than Zeke has had. Look it up.. The biggest difference is that he keeps getting the ball in those games where he stinks whereas Zeke has been sharing the load. So Henry's aggregate numbers are better.. No argument here.. but he gets more opportunities because his team has fewer options. To his credit, he delivers most of the time.. but he fails a lot too.. but no one seems to want to talk about that.
