I've watched Henry many times because I live in Tennessee and get all the Titans games. He is a beast. He has been hurt a little more lately but the Titans run the crap out of him and the #1 qb was hurt late last year so they ran him even more.

Honestly, I don't think we can afford his salary. I'm sure he is asking for quite a bit.

There's still some lingering zeke hate effects. For a couple years, Henry has been the darling of zeke haters. "look at Henry, if we only had HIM...super bowl baby!".

Instead of moving forward....they are still having trouble letting that go.

That hate aint never goin away. They can't even get themselves to acknowledge that Henry is a year older than Zeke and has missed more games over the last two seasons than Zeke has. He has also had more sub 3 ypc and 4 ypc games than Zeke has had. Still I think either guy would have better success with someone not named Kellen Moore calling the plays. And I wonder if we did bring in Henry would we have him pass blocking 20-30 times a game like we did with Zeke? And if we did how well would HIS body hold up?

It’s not that..

Henry is a force of nature.

I wouldn’t take any other back besides him really.

This is a 1 or 2 year thing that I believe dramatically improves our odds of a Super Bowl.

Henry didn’t play much to start his career and the elephant in the room is he’s still good at football where as Zeke is awful at football.

Look at Henry's stats last year and laugh at the people claiming he's losing it.

RBs are the key to the Cowboys success.
RBs aren't a "dime a dozen."
This is NOT a passing league.

I'm down. For the right price. I don't think Henry is an every down back anymore. It would be a good fit for the right price. \
i'm not advocating for him to come here, but he just led the league in carries last season.

I wouldn't mind it if he was cut and signed on to a cheap friendly deal for 2 yrs w/2nd year option

Henry or not, it is a bit confusing they still haven't added a potential starting RB, especially via the draft.

His impact would be huge for sure.......

How much would you trade?

got this online:
Waiting until the trade deadline, which is typically during Week 9 of the regular season, would help Tennessee evaluate where it is in the standings and what other teams need help in the backfield. Perhaps a contender will lose an impact runner to injury and be more willing to deal significant draft capital to add someone like Henry for a potential Super Bowl run.

Alas, Titans general manager Ran Carthon told reporters that Henry is not on the trade block this offseason.

This is the last year of his contract

Not exactly what he said.......... not receiving calls is a bit different from NOT being on the trading block

If the Tennessee Titans are planning to trade Derrick Henry, that's news to Ran Carthon. The Titans general manager shut down the social media report that the team is looking to trade Henry, admitting the team hasn't received any calls on the star running back.

"We also were apparently trading Jeffery Simmons at one point and during that entire period we were negotiating his deal," Carthon said when asked about Henry. "There's things I want to say, but I won't. It is what it is.

"We won't do business in public. I always lean on taking care of the player and taking care of the family."

There has been no indication of Henry leaving the Titans or getting traded to another organization, but the three-time Pro Bowler does have one year remaining on his contract with a base salary of $10.5 million. His cap number is $16,367,647 for 2023, the final year of a four-year deal with the Titans he signed in 2020.

Because the Cowboys are apparently assuming that they already have a potential starting RB that they are already familiar with in Tony Pollard.
LOL.....you just mentioned Cooks's injury issues above. TP is coming off a serious injury, not to mention 20 touches a game is close to his max. What happen in the 49ers game when he went down and we DIDN'T have a quality replacement?

That’s one player how many more can you name? Sproles, was an inch taller and listed 10 pounds heavier. As good as he was he never rushed for more than 603 yards in a season and he never carried the ball more than 94 times in a season. He averaged about four carries per game, In his 14 year career he only scored 23 rushing TDs. Zeke had 12 rushing TDs just last season. I’m pulling for Vaughn but I don’t see where he’s going to get a ton of opportunities. He’ll get opportunities as a returner and in the passing game. Plus, they’ll probably have some gimmick plays for him but we need a pair a big, power back with Pollard who can push piles when there’s nowhere to run. There’s going to be games where it’s going to be like running into a brick wall and you need a load back there, not a Smurf jitter bugging around looking for a crease.

thus he was a 6th round pick. and doesn't mean he can't contribute. will he need to carry the load? no, can he contribute in 10 plays and about 4 or 5 plays a game. that's reasonable and acceptable. as long as that players brings a different dimention to the game.

btw, Brady was a 6th round pick.
Where did I say he can’t contribute? The team will find areas where he can contribute. I’ve already posted areas where he can contribute. Yes, Brady was the sixth round pick and if you have visions of an undersized player like Vaughn becoming the impact player at RB that Tom Brady was at QB dream on! Lol

One Pollard injury during his career that is nowhere near as serious (and dramatic) as you guys keep trying to make it out to be.

Serious injury as what ? It's not ACL or achilles tendon, ... it's a high ankle "sprain".
And the fibula bone has already healed itself and it did not even need screws for that.

But yet over and over and over again we'll continue to hear this ..... " serious injury " ... " serious injury " it's so baffling .. ..
