I'm not sure Dak has the arm strength. His balls are all wobblers this year.

Wrong. He worked in the offseason with a qb coach and showed in preseason he has more zip on his passes, much more velocity (even qb coach talked about it after camp). Of course you will ignore that and continue to bash Dak.

QB play as a whole has been pretty bad in the league

If Dak stinks it out at home against the Rams, Pack and vs 9ers, then you can worry

Getting his *** handed to him by the Broncos should've been expected

Preseason doesn't count buddy. He's lost zip.

I think our offensive philosophy has always been to "take what the defense gives us", and last night the defense was pretty stingy.

Sounds good but he isn't the only one. I guess that's going to be your default answer for everybody.

Dak went deep last year. I remember people saying the same things about Romo in the first half of 2014. Dak went deep vs the Giants

Do you not understand their corners are better than our receivers?

This . No one is afraid of the speed we roll out there

Exactly. Look at all the good up and coming teams, ala Titans, Bucs, etc. Their TE's are athletic and fast. WR's are big and fast. Heck, the Titans were running TE screens yesterday.

Look what Reid does with his TE in KC.

Collins looked worse than Free back there.

Not even close. He didn't start giving up the pressures until late in the game when everything was decided and we were passing every down. Miller just became a man on a mission to get a sack and gave up every other responsibility that he has to get one. Multiple offsides trying to get a jump. Almost anyone would wear down after that.

It's pretty close almost a draw.

Find the articles and read them. If you're not we don't have nothing to keep going back and forth about. You have your mind made up and its a waste to go back and forth on something you've already set your mind to

We've got to be able to make defenses pay for stacking the box on us. Every team we play from here on out is going to try to do the same thing. If we can't make them pay, the offense is going to be hot and cold. Dez needs to get his head out of his *** and Dak needs to take some chances. Every defensive coordinator in the league is going to try to limit us in a similar manner. I don't care how good our OL and Zeke are. If we can't get them out of 8 man fronts, we're going to struggle at times.

Not every team has a Defensive Secondary as talented has Denver's...They can try an load the box, but I'll guarantee most will pay dearly!:omg:l

What articles? From BB?

Strum, who is better analyst then BB, refuted the Dak doesn't go deep nonsense.

Dak went deep at least 3 times vs the Giants

Because Dak keeps forcing it to a covered Dez down the field. When he throwsi it to TWilll or Butler for the most part has a much better chance being catched unlike going to Dez. Who can't break free from his man.

•I don’t know what to make of Brice Butler. Had him as one of my breakout players for the season, but he continues to be inconsistent. Thought that was a bad drop on third-and-long. It appeared from first glance that he had enough for the first down, which would have gotten the offense out of the hole. Instead the ball hits the turf and they’re forced to punt. Butler knows that he’s not going to get many targets, but he’s got to make plays on the ones he gets.

ALL Personell... What do you choose? Throw up a contested ball to a guy that can't get separation (Dez) or a body catcher that can't get separation (Twill) or a guy that may get separation but misses on 50% of catches (Brice.)

His accuracy issues are grossly overstated. He may not be the best and most accurate at chucking the ball down the field, but he's accurate in the intermediate areas and frankly, that's all that needs to happen to loosen Ds up.
This. Dak tied with Brady for the highest passer rating on 15+yard targets last year.

Your guy Broaddus

The Broncos knew they had to stop the run, which they did, but I didn’t see any extra help in the box to do so. Maybe the film will show different, but it appeared that the Broncos front seven physically took it to this Cowboys offensive line, which doesn’t happen often

It's not part of our offensive philosophy, hasn't been for as long as I can remember. You dont even have to utilize your #1 WR for this, Whitehead had 4.3 speed and all we ever did was run him in motion on jet/fake jet sweeps. Ryan Switzer, judging off his college tape, looks like another guy that can get behind the safeties but I can guarantee we'll never see him go deep here.

In 2014, both Dez and TWill were top 3 in go routes run by WRs, despite Dallas being among the least teams in pass attempts.

It's always been our philosophy, which is why teams played deep cover 2 against us all day.

Dak simply doesn't throw the deep ball well and if anything, we have adjusted the philosophy for him. We have been with Garrett, among the bottom tier teams in use of play-action, and it went slightly up when Linehan took over with Romo. With Dak, play-action was a huge staple of this offense last year.

The problem with our offense has always been that it's very easy to read and defend. Romo did 2014, because the OL and rushing attack was ridiculous and it made the passing game much more efficient, but it was still simple. Pre-2014 when Garrett was in charge, a lot of it was just the up-tempo, two minute offense..
