Probably by the time he's 38, but maybe we could make a play now?? Hanna (would flourish in their system taking over for Hermandead), and a 2nd?? Would ya?? Would they??

All the Pats have going for them is their offensive line. They aren't necessarily forced to stay in a 12 formation without hernandez. So no, there is no way they would make the trade, and no way we would make it either. They don't want expensive guards. We could have signed on in free agency without giving up a draft pick.

Mankins' bonus money would accelerate into their cap immediately. Without digging up the numbers, that would probably add about 10 million to their 2013 cap.

i don't think they would trade him and there is no way i would give hanna and a 2nd for him. he is too old for that much compensation and he make nearly 6 mil a year

Gotta say this is a face-palm kinda thread.

It smacks of "Madden".

This smacks more of total delirium, but I am willing to embrace lunacy should the OP make a reasonable trade for Mankins happen that would not cripple us financially. Make it so, oh wise, yet possibly delirious poster!

Never deal with the Pats, they always come out on top.

No, by all means, let's fall apart. It is a lot more fun for posters to lament things like this by beating of their breasts and flogging themselves with a croc of nine tails. LOL

No I would rather see what we can do this year with FA or what's currently on the team and enter into next year's draft with OG in mind. That way we will have a young line that can grow together. Please keep in mind IF Leary starts that will give us 3 guys around the age of 22-24 with T. Smith being 22 going into his 3rd yr. in the NFL. I want a young "strong/nasty" Guard to go with what we have now.

I think we should try to get Brady, Megatron, Trent Richardson and J.J. Watt
