You know, I never thought that Bledsoe was a good fit here. Guy who has no mobility, holds the ball too long and we had a bad O-line.

Funny thing is, I think he would be better here now because our O-line seems much better so far.

Which is why I thought that BP should have made the o-line better. When you have a guy that is a statue, you don't just leave thge o-line as porous as it was. Not fair to anybody.

Brady Quinn is the real deal. He is the leader of a Browns team that the rest of the NFL will have to deal with in the near future. I hope we our 1st rd pick in the upcoming draft will be in the top 5 or 10. I am an Irish fan and so I like Quinn. He is in my mind head and shoulders above Russell (who is hurting himself by holding out, I do not believe he will recover, just like the kid that the Bengals drafted a few years ago, who eventually found himself out of the league, not Couch the other kid before him.

Sorry to break it to you man but Quinn thinks and acts better than he really is. I didnt see Him do anything special. Some dump off passes and two decent td passes against 3rd stringers...The Lions 3rd stringer .

Start HIm and We'll see another Alex Smith rookie season...We'll have a top 3 draft pick next year for sure.

I dont care what a player does in the pre-season it still doesn't prove much to me.

And there it is in a nutshell right there. Preseason is not there to prove to YOU anything, it's for the people that matter...coaches. Just as I argued last year, it wasn't for US to see the QB development, but the people that mattered. Sorry you're left out on that decision making.

No matter how good Romo did last year in the preseason it wasn't enough for Parcells to pull the trigger on nameing him the starter. Why? Because its pre-season.

Um no. The preseason was there for the staff to evaluate him..and others...and see how they could possibly fit on the team, if at all, and what they can or cannot do, to teach them, to correct them. Incredible that is lost on you.

Bledsoe was so bad we had to try something and Romo had shown that playing against teams that really aren't trying to stop him that he deserves at least a chance.

Coaches and players do talk about how the pre-season needs to be shortened. Everyone hates it except for you and the owners cashing in.

No, everyone doesn't.

Your never going to find out all the things you need to know about a player and especially an entire team until things start rolling for real. Not pre-season football.

Now see, you're turning it around. I never said "all the things you need to know"....but you are saying you learn nothing at all. Do not include me in your extremism. You see preseason as 4 games, because that is all YOU are privy to. Newflash: Preseason is more than that, it includes all the things that happen between those 4 games.

big willie with no idea of what you are talking about. Why don't you look at other QBs for teams that had virtually NO DEFENSE to talk about and were coming from behind against the best teams all the time- and see what THEIR stats looked like. Cutler was at vanderbilt and his stats looked pretty bad- yet he is starting for one of the top teams. BQ had no defense and a fairly porous O line. Against the top teams ND had virtually no chance- though they did come within one illegal play of beating the undefeated and #1 USC in 2005. Mostly what happens when you have one very inferior team playing a much better team is that the inferior team gets their butts kicked.

Obviously a ND fan, as can be seen. It's funny they bring up an 'illegal play', but they never talk about their grass being ankle high that day to slow down USC's speed. :laugh2:

In any case, the only thing I hear is all these excuses ... but but but ... but you never hear how gun shy Brady was in the pocket when facing a rush. How erratic his passes became when teams showed they could blitz to get pressure consistently, or just get pressure in general. Brady showed a tendency to get rattled.

Just like the entire ND team, they showed their tendency to beat up on the teams they should, but play down to the teams who are considered top tier. That isn't the making of the next great QB -- maybe more of a project.

Did not look too bad on his first possession. But it is against some players on Defense that will not be on the team when the season begins.

Oh please, oh please, oh please .... start him Week 1.

Lets see what he looks like when he faces the defenses of the Ravens twice, the Steelers twice, the Patriots, and the Dolphins this season.

Well the mighty Quinn said it doesn't matter if it is college or pros, it is still just football. I wonder if he will think the same way when Ray Lewis is chasing him down. He never saw any player of that calibre when he played Navy, Air Force, Rutgers, Stanford, BYU, Army etc

Whether it be a 1st stringer, or 12th stringer.

Yet you insist at bolding the 4th stringer stuff via a preseason game. Hmmmm.
