I'm sure EVERY team will be going every inch of him in the next eight months but we are on the early bandwagon.

If we drafted him his presence in Dallas would dwarf the Tim Tebow coverage. Can you imagine Manziel, Romo, Jerry, and the Cowboys in the news every week? It would be a wild ride, just don't know if it would be a productive one. I'm not a draft expert but does anybody know where he might fall? Will he get out of the first round?

Here's the link.

That would be one way to deflect criticism of keeping Garrett around. Draft Manziel and listen to the constant media circus.

I am not sure where I fall on the issue of Manziel, to be honest....

Yep, it would be a typical razzle dazzle get the local yokels fired up type of move we have expected from Jerruh while the defensive line wreckage smolders.

I want Johnny Football, but only if he's willing to sit on the bench 2-3 years and learn from Tony. He did a red shirt year at A&M, so maybe he would be OK with it. Plus, it would give the Cowboys time to finish building the OL. He has to learn to slide, too.

Good Lord I I think would officially tap out at that point. Seriously.

Last week was the first time in years that I turned off the game and did something else. I wasn't even mad because I basically knew it was coming. In my 25 years of being a fan I have always been p*ssed off for days about losses like this. But I've finally reached the point of being apathetic and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Bringing in the circus that is Manziel would probably push me over the edge.

There really isn't much to read into this... look at the teams that were scouting him.

The Bills just drafted a 1st round QB this year. Manziel is projected to be a 1st rounder. Miami drafted Tannehill in '12 in the 1st round. New Orleans has a great QB, Drew Brees, albeit he is getting older. Dallas just signed Romo to a new extension.

The Jaguars legitimately need a QB. And depending upon what the Bears do with Cutler, they may have a real need... or may not.

Either way, its just teams doing their due diligence.

I'm sure a majority of the fan base is ready to get their panties in a wad, so I don't want to get in the way of that...

You're going to get a different opinion from everyone with regards to where Manziel will be draft and how good he will be in the NFL.

I don't think his game translates that well to the NFL. He is small and has average or below arm strength. His mental makeup is a huge question mark. He could easily be a Vince Young type that just couldn't handle the pressure and dedication required to be an NFL QB.

Dallas would be the absolute worst place for Manziel. The scrutiny of playing QB for the Dallas Cowboys could be overwhelming to many players. Putting a player that is already having problems dealing with the scrutiny of playing QB in college in as the Cowboys QB is a recipe for disaster.

I agree. I just wouldn't put it past the Cowboys to grab him if he's available. Even if they intend to sit him for awhile.

Ol' Jerry would love the attention and it just SCREAMS of a Cowboys move. ESPN would be talking about them 24/7. Jerry must be salivating at the thought.

Johnny Football has the two most important qualities necessary to play behind Jerry's OL - he can outrun defensive linemen, and he can throw accurately running full speed. :D

I think he'll be that guy on draft day they keep showing at his table waiting to be called. Waiting. Waiting.

I dont want any part of this guy..... For one I dont think he will hold up and two hes not in a pro style offense.

And third, he's an epic meltdown just waiting to happen. Put some real money in that kid's pocket (his money, not mommy and daddy's ) and his off field antics will make Matt Leinart look like a monk.

No thank you.

Heard the radio talking about that this morning. I thought they just said all those teams has scouts at the game, not that they were necessarily scouting Manziel. We and others could've been looking at Mike Evans and/or plenty of others on both teams. I seriously doubt we're interested in Johnny if for no other reason than the huge contract Romo just signed.

I don't think Manziel's game translate to the NFL whatsoever. In the NFL the strength of his speed will be neutralized, and the weakness of his arm-strength will become amplified.

He's right up Jerry's alley and I'm a fan. BUT, I would hate wasting a pick on him. The reason being. Right now we have Romo, Williams, Dez, Witten, Murray, and we STILL can't move the ball. What makes you think adding Manziel to that confusion would help?

Interesting.

Manziel's pocket presence & accuracy is top-notch.
With the right QB coach and if Manziel personally commits himself to being a student of the pro game, he would be a good fit.
It's all about the future.

I hate the aggies, but Manziel is the real deal. He will be a first rounder and we'd be stupid not to take him if given the opportunity. And I'm a "romo" guy too, but you still take Johnny if you can.
