San Diego can put up 21 points before you even know it.

This team better get it's *** in gear or we will get embarrassed next week.

Chargers are no joke. They are the hottest team in football right now.

So can we. We aren't getting embarrassed. That's one thing this team hasn't had done to them this year and I don't see it happening at home next week. We've had some games where we have played poorly but we are still in the game.

I'm done being optimistic. I'm going to be realistic.

Can we win them all? No.

Can we win 3? Yes, and 3 is all we need.

Will we win 3? Who knows which team shows up.

The rest of this season is a complete toss-up to me. I have no idea what my feelings are on it. To be honest, right now I'm not feeling too good about the playoffs, and making any noise if we even get there.

Got any room on that bandwagon for me?

**** this team right now.

I learned all week that the more desperate team wins when playing at home.

Somehow I doubt the pundits will apply that to us, though.

Seriously, I've never understood why some people have written off the Chargers game. We're at home and it's not like they're the '07 Patriots.

But they've won Superbowls lately, so they're excused for not unleashing hell on the Raiders at home. [/realist]

If there's any room at all, let me on.

I'm not from Missouri but I'm going straight "show me" with this team.

Until they prove they can play in a clutch situation, they can't in my book.

I think we win as well, call me crazy.

Brother man, that makes two of us. I think we win, and I put it out there we win at New Orleans as well.

With Romo playing as well as he has it's certainly possible. I doubt the defense plays as poorly as it did today for four consecutive weeks.

It's a week to week league and what some fail to realize is that a poor performance today does not ensure poor performances the rest of the season.

SD doesn't scare me. I think we match up well against them.

Do we really? Because it's not going to be Brandon Jacobs catching screen passes, it's gonna be LT and Darren Sproles.

It's not gonna be the undersized good for nothing Steve Smith and Manningham catching passes over the middle on 3rd and long, it's going to be Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates.

It's ok though, because now instead of throwing at the worst DB's in the NFL, we can throw at Cromartie while Merriman is wreaking all hell on Flo.

However, I do hope we win.

This thread is laughable. :laugh2:

Have you guys actually watched San Diego play this year? They went into New York and actually beat the Giants. I think the game today was their 7th win in a row.

If we cant keep freaking Jacobs from taking a swing pass 75 to the house, how the hell are we going to keep LT and Sproles from doing it???

Sure it is possible we can win, we are at home. However, all these declarations that "we will beat San Diego" are just laughable. Kinda like the prediction thread for the Giant's game. As of last night, there was not 1 single post predicting us to lose. Most of the post were "we are going to beat them like a dog, guaranteed double digit win".

Predictions mean jack...........

Hello crazy. But I hope you are right. It is the NFL, crazy things happen. We are at home, in throwbacks, and any given sunday. Bring it!

Throwbacks = win or lose ugly, because those uni's are the worst idea in order to make money I've ever seen. I hate our "throwbacks"

This kind of optimism, while nice, can't be said to be based on anything objective. You go into New York with a chance to put all the December talk behind you, to prove you are the best team in the NFC East, and to pretty much seal your playoff existence, and you lose.

But now, playing against one team that has won 7 straight and the next team that is undefeated, and BOTH ARE PLAYING FOR SOMETHING, San Diego right now holds the #2 seed in the AFC and New Orleans wants to hold on to the #1 seed, WE, THE MIGHTY "WE DIE IN DECEMBER" COWBOYS are going to beat both of them?

Yea right. Our one and only hope at this point is to beat the Chargers this weekend. Mark my words, we better do it if we want to save this season.

San Diego has a pretty tough time stopping the run. 21st in the league. Their running game is pretty anemic as well, 30th in the league.

I refuse to concede any game until the game is over. We'll win against SD, and then end NO's perfect season. They've gotten too many odd ball breaks to win lately.

I hope you are right my friend, I am just so down on this team right now. I thought for sure we would win today and when we were up 10-0 I was starting to believe.

Then the whole thing blew up in our face and it was like a swift kick to the balls. I just dont have much faith in this team right now.
