We will collapse if we don't fix the Defense

We will have a more aggressive rush against Rodgers; at least to begin with. Last nite they were instructed to stay in their lanes and rush. Well, the Philly OL was too good for a 3-4 to get him and contain him. So we picked up the pace in the second half and it worked better. We gave up some scrambles but we made McNabb throw some bad passes.

Against Rodgers who isn't feared like McNabb is nor as big and powerful as McNabb, I suspect they will go after him more. How much no one can say unless you're an insider.

But Rodgers is more mobile than he has the reputation for; yet. He does move well so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we won't give up points and will get ahead enough to go after him full tilt.

This defense is in trouble if things don't get fixed. There's a much much better chance that we give up 30 again next week against GB than Philadelphia scoring 30 against a REAL defense like they'll face with Pittsburgh.

The Packers pass offense is very predictable. They play a 4 wide set about 60% of the time. They cant play 5 wide withuot a healthy Ruvell Martin. With the 4 wide and 1 back set theyll most likely play, theyll end up letting whoever the back is run a quick check dwon route to the outside. Meanwhile someones going deep to drag 2 defenders out. If not the Packers like 1 vs 1 matchups and will look for that. The another reciever will run something similair to a post pattern while the final two recivers will run something underneath and most likely have the 1 vs 1 matchup. If all else fails Rodgers will run with the ball as a final option. Its worked well against a 2 4-3 teams who both suck so I wouldnt say its that great. If Grant is touched by Jesus and heals then we should see a very baslanced attack. Most likely he wont I think we'll see 75% pass.

our defense gave up 30 points which is too many period

No, it really didn't. While I certainly won't say our D played well last night, it isn't as bad as it appears. You can really only put 23 of the E-girls points on our D. Obviously Romo's fumble in the endzone that was recovered for a TD can't be put on the D. Neither can the TD the E-girls scored after Romo's interception. He turned the ball over and gave them good field position. They then got a terrible pass interference call that put the ball at the one yard line. I don't fault the D for that TD either. As I said, you can only fault the D for 23 of the E-girls 37 points IMO. Our D played much better in the second half as well.

Come on guys give him some slack we all know a good defense always shuts down a good offense, at least it does in Madden.:bang2:

Tony Ro can only carry us so far - like a power hitting team in baseball - sooner or later good pitching will beat them and in our case that's bad news - real bad news.

We don't have the pillar of strength defense to rely on - heck we're not even the bend but don't break variety of the 90's ..we just break after we give up chunk after chunk after chunk.

Have you ever seen a softer 2ndary? have you? it's a joke - how many 14-15 yard bullets did we just give up , not even bump at the line?

If I'm Aaron Rodgers - I can't sleep , I'm salivating to play Dallas - I'm watching film and trying to control my smile - this kid is gonna light us up - he's Big , mobile and an excellent intermediate route QB - I can easily see him at 22 of 29 for 315ish easily. He won't miss WR's like McNabb did and he has a better set of weapons on the outside.

Something drastic needs to change and soon.

What is this clown still doing here?:bang2:

Ok, so the Packers are going to light us up.

Pray tell, how will their DBs stop Owens, Crayton, Austin, Bennett, Witten, Barberian and Jones?
plus that secondary they got isnt that fast good luck with T.O and shoot how about Austin deep once or twice
