We would be at least 9-5 now if Carter was still QB.

Wolverine,

We would have been better than 9-5, 10-4, we would have won the division and had at least a 13-3 record.

Carter in the same offense, would have been off the charts, what people are seeing from Brees is what we would have seen from Carter. This is Brees's 4th season as it is for Carter, 3 to 4yrs is the average time it takes to develop a QB. And franchise QBs are developed they just don't come around every draft.

You take a very talented youngster and put him on a team already set up with everything including an excellent staff and a vet QB mentoring him and you get Ben Rothlisberger.

That same situation and you set that youngster for a year, even if he is not that talented or thought of as that talented, and you get Tom Brady, the 6th round draft pick, who was thought to be nothing more than a career backup, who might not have been drafted at all.

Do not worry about being bashed, they are upset because they thought for sure Vinny would have this team in a better position than last season, or they thought Henson would be some kind of wonder QB, that could just jump in and take us there.

They are mad, pissed, disappointed all of the above, and deep down they know that Carter would have helped this team back to the playoffs.

What is really got them P.Oed, is that they cannot stand that we went 10-6 with Carter and someone they felt was better has us 5 game short of that.

You are correct, in you thinking ,but the record would be at least 11-3 at this time, heading to a 13-3 season if Carter was still here.

That is a load of cr@p deep down inside I know Carter was not a good QB and in Dallas he got the help from a defense that could actually stop someone. This season with the way Dallas D played no way Carter would have done jack!

again, the guy displayed poor accuracy and decision making last yr...yes another yr in the system helps, but at some point you have to have quality talent to work with to take major steps...the guy committed 25 turnovers last yr and got bailed out by probably at least a dozen more potential picks that were dropped

like VT or not, the guy is a better passer than Carter is...its not hating Carter, its just the guy was a mediocre passer and was always gonna be a mediocre passer

David

You could reverse Carter and VT in your post and still make sense.

There is no marked improvement at QB. I don't know what Carter would have done this year had he remained a Cowboy. I can speculate that he would have improved, but not great enough to help this team to 10 wins after 14 games.

This team needs better QB play and has needed it for a while. Now it also needs better defensive play.

And just to nit pick: Quincy had 21 INTs last season and 3 lost fumbles equaling 24 turnovers, which is way too many. Vinny still has two games to catch him with his 19 INTs and 3 lost fumbles.

The sucky part is that Vinny is playing at his worse now that Dallas finally has a running game. 66 completions 133 attempts 49.6% 762 yards 4 TDs 8 INTs 52.3 rating since Julius returned to the line up. Unacceptable.

Only played it for 15 years, and you know something about football? If you did you would not have posted such a dumb ars posting. Carter would have won 10, 12 or 13 games?

No played the real thing including college does that make me an expert? No of course not but that is a load of cr@p your trying to feed the board. As I pointed out with Carter at QB they scored 17,13 and 10 points, not exactly tearing up the league add to that one of the better RB in the league with Curtis Martin and a Jets Defense that ranks 5th in the NFL.

Vinny=Quincy,Quincy=Vinny. I said it before the season started and never wavered. They both suck.

Why do you always get so "heated" when someone mentions anything positive about Carter. The facts are simple, with Carters "driving the bus  " this team won more games. Simple as that, we were the number 1 offence for the first 4 games last year, oh wait, hambrick was the one that helped this team

What was Carters record here last year.

What was his record in his 3 starts with the Jets this year.

He won. The score doesnt matter. A win is a win.

Last year Vinny was what with the Jets ? 2-7 I think. QC, with basically the same team was 2-1. Interesting.

This year Vinny is 4-9 for the Boys, (Henson started the Chicago game)...

We have had more turnover this year than the Jets had last year...So, in general, we lost Edwards, Woodson, Blade and Ek on "D". Hambone, Galloway and Ryan Young on "O".

I really think our letdown this year is a combo of...

Vinny instead of QC.

Bad personal moves by BP and JJ.

Lack of motivation in coaching.

Because it is not a true statement that was being made. Carter lead the Jets to 2-1 BS the Jets team went 2-1 Carter did not win the game nor was he the reason for the loss. As for Dallas we went from the #1 ranked defense to the 25th ranked defense. Dallas was one of the top ranked offenses in the league to start this season as well so what, just like last season it did not last now did it and to top it off the defense has played poor most of the season.

Yes but of course your being sarcastic. The point is this team was ranked number 1 last year for the first half (or so) last year. You guys cant admit he was decent at least. My goodness, Carter would not have this team at a way better record but we have lost the last 2 games due to vinny.

rollingmyeyes:, Load of crap, my pesqueso. This season was a load of crap.
the season, the defense everything was shot when all that crap went down in Training camp.

The only changes we neede was to add Key or a receiver like Key, and a back up insurance.

Whether you want to admit it or not, when that stuff went down it killed th momentum of the WHOLE TEAM, that means defense included. other than missing Blades , Stewart, Woody, Edwards, wiley and EK is a wash, the defense is basically the same.

It is not a load of Crap, the defense would have been on point, that crap had a mental effect on the whole team.

You explain, then how a diefense with basically the same personnel goes to crap like that, it is a mental thing that happened in TC.

It is a crap how you guys cannot see what happened.
but you tell me yur version of why the defense has failed. the offense is only better because of Key and Jones and the O line has played a lot better than it did last season.

Thats real good nothin personal but you start it off with a insult.

With the Jets Quincy went 2-1 in his 3 games played. This team WON with Carter. We were 10-6 with him last year. You CAN NOT tell ANYONE in here who is REALISTIC that the things I said why Carter woudl be better arent true. Key Glenn and Julius woulda helped alot.

Also our defense wouldnt be on the field as long with Carter here since we woulda had our offense on the field more.

The question is is Vinny a upgrade over Carter. NO WAY! He is a big DOWNGRADE!! 5-9 so far under Vinny but 10-6 last year with Carter. Yeah Vinny really gave us the best chance to win didnt he. Like I say Vinny gives the OTHER team the best chance to win.

And agian. Andy Reid needs to give Vinny the game ball for the Eagles win on SUnday.

again, we were 10-6 because we played a schedule or poor offensive teams that couldnt score...Carter had very little, if anything to do with us WINNING 10 games...he was a caretaker, and not even a very good one. I've posted Carter's numbers a breakdown of his games numerous times, the guy was putrid. Despite your take on VT, if you break it down game by game VT has had MORE good games than Carter did...Carter's play wasnt even at an average level in half his starts...our offense was constantly 3 and out last yr...cant see where he would have made any difference whatsoever this yr...

and so what he's 2-1 with thee Jets? They couldnt score with QC at QB and instead rushed back an OBVIOUSLY injured Pennington to replace him...

Unfortunatly you are correct. This Defense is to blame for most of our losses this year. However with that said, vinny has cost us the last 2. Both carter and vinny have similar stats this year, Carter would make his mistakes at the beginning of the game, Vinny makes most of his mistakes in the 4th quarter. And as another poster posted, vinny last year with jets 2-7, carter 2-1 same team different results

I see perfectly clear and i have seen Carter play QB which is also very clear the guy is not that good of a QB. I saw a Dallas defense that did a damn good job last year and a offense that struggled for most of the season. If you want to beleive that Carter was the reason we won be my guest.
