Weak Link: Ogletree...

And maybe if he had not make those 3-4 mistakes first, he wouldn't have had to "come up big" on a play near the end.

You wouldn't keep a field goal kicker that misses 4 field goals in a game and then kicks a 50 yard game winner.

Maybe, but from where I'm sitting, I wouldn't change a thing tonight. I'm a big believer in everything happens for a reason and a chain of events occurred that caused us to win. That said, I'm not saying we shouldn't release Ogletree, I'm just saying he's not the goat of the game. He came up big when it really counted and contributed late to the win. That behind the back catch was huge.

JG has made it obvious in a previous presser that he has little patience for the mental mistakes. He has said they look for effort out of the guys who may not be as physically gifted as everyone else, and knowing what they're supposed to do.

Ogletree doesn't know what he's supposed to do and he's not as physically gifted as a Bryant, so he shouldn't be given as much rope as a Bryant. Sorry to say that, because I'm like everyone else, I like hearing those stories of relative unknowns making a real name for themselves.

Tony Romo yelled at Ogletree for stopping route on 3rd-and-goal. KO: "I kind of mumbled something to him and he was like, ‘You’re stupid.’"

They do not have to release him .. just give some of the other guys a chance. Robinson, Holley, Harris, etc. can be just as inconsistent as Ogletree :D

I loved the way Robinson protected the ball. IMO he should be playing before Ogletree.

Well is Tony wrong? Because from where I am sitting you are stupid!

He made a play. He also fumbled, leading directly to 3 Commanders points. He ran the wrong route, leading to a Romo pick on maximum blitz- the Skins got a TD out of that one. He stopped his route on 3rd and goal- he was pretty wide open, I'd say he scores. So that's 14 Skins points directly or indirectly attributable to Ogletree primarily.

I don't think it balances the ledger. We needed this guy bigtime and got let down. We needed KO against SF but it's Jesse Holley making the big play.

I never thought I'd rue Sam Hurd but Hurd and Romo were always on the same page. If Ogletree can't even perform to Hurd's standard, you've gotta wonder why. I wouldn't be shocked to see Laurent Robinson start against the Lions.

This guy has been on the team for three years and he doesn't know the plays? Seriously?

OTree is a VERY good special teams guy... he should be relegated to that from now on... and that ONLY...

I agree until we can find someone to replace him on ST

lol, what?

Kind of funny if true.

Aside from fumbling on the 10 yard line, not knowing his hot reads against the blitz, continuously not knowing where to line up, atrocious blocking, showing absolutely no catch radius in the endzone, 5 catches in two back to back games as a full time starter in which he was getting almost unanimous single coverage ... I thought he did alright. You got to admit, the guy can catch a slant route against zero coverage with no safety in the middle.

Let's not mince words Inman....

Yeah he needs to go. It's not like he was just signed last week. Plus Miles has been hurt since preseason and Dez has been missing practice, so it's not like he was caught unaware that his opportunity had come. He had plenty of time to be prepared and years to learn the offense.

Don't forget he also dropped a touchdown pass in the end zone. Still, he doesn't make that behind the back catch maybe we don't win.

Agree. Hurd and Crayton never were spectacular, but they always seemed to be on the same page as Romo. Hurd was an excellent team guy, too. Crayton was a bit mouthy, sure, but he was also a team player. He was also turning in to a weapon on PR there for a while.

Yeah but that catch wasn't something tons of other 3rd or 4th string receivers could have made and still know where they are supposed to line up or what the hot read is.

Crayton or Hurd make that catch in their sleep without all of the other issues.

Sums it up nicely.

Laurent Robinson showed everyone why the Cowboys went after him. The guy is elusive with speed and he is the best WR the Boys have after Dez and Miles. Once he learns the playbook he will have a huge impact on this team. Guys like Ogletree and Holley are JAG's and will be out of the league in 2 years.

Laurent Robinson is slow as heck... he had a couple good catches, and failed to finish afterwards with no one in front of him.

Agreed would have been a tough catch but boy was I ticked off at him by that time, him dropping that pass made my head almost explode. But man, without his catch there at the end we might be sitting here depressed, let down and angry, so I'm more forgiving. Even Romo said it's a team effort and he was a part of that at the end. Like I said doesn't mean I would start him over Robinson, I'm just saying I think he deserves a little credit on a night when almost the entire offense was out of sync and looking bad.
