35 degrees and 25 mph winds. Cold front comes in this weekend.

Not good news for the Cowboys or Romo neither the team or Romo usually performs well in cold weather. With the cold and the wind you're going to need a running game which doesn't bode well for the Cowboys.

Remember the Bears Colts deluge?

Football is played outdoors.

True.

But 95% of games are not played in 35 degree weather with 25 mph winds. That's why the Super Bowl in New York experiment is so dumb. I love outdoor games too, but the nasty weather games are more the exception than the rule. So playing in that weather and removing how the teams got there just for one game seems silly to me.

More likely than not, teams from both sides will come through Seattle and KC or Denver. Possibly Philly and maybe even GB. They all have cold crappy weather....

And to everyone who thinks sitting in the cold is no fun, go to a Bills game in December. Best time you can have at a stadium. Also, the Pinstripe Bowl last year (Cuse vs. WV) was played in a snowstorm and was an awesome event to be at.

Isn't Romo from up north? He should be more climatized than Eli is.

Eli's NFL career has been played up north on the east coast in an outdoor stadium while Romo has spent his NFL career down south and his last 5 years in an indoor stadium.

Yeah but how often has he played in a cold weather game like this? It's going to be a low scoring game with those winds. I see a lot of reverses lol

Eli played in below zero wind chill in GB during the 2007 NFC title game. Cold weather doesn't seem to affect Eli but it does Romo. Can't remember a game Romo has played well in where they showed him during warmups wearing a ski cap. Every time I see him wearing a ski cap warming up I keep thinking back to the Steelers game up in Pittsburgh in Dec of 08 and the elimination game a few weeks later up in Philly. Romo reportedly has small hands and getting a firm grip on the ball can be a problem in cold weather.

Looking at this season Eli has struggled despite the weather. I can see him struggling even more with the strong winds blowing in.

Yeah, I recall the 08 games and I'm still confident he will get it done Sunday.

That game was epic. Third coldest game time weather in the history of the game. Minus three with windchill of minus 23.

Oh yeah, it's fun going to a wild weather game sometimes. If the weather is extreme though--including the high wind-- it tends to be an equalizer for the lessor team.

BTW, I would not rule out New Orleans having some home playoff games.

Colder than the Cincy vs SD AFL title game?

"FREEZER BOWL"
-9 degrees and 35 mph wind...-59 wind chill.

Eli has played in plenty of cold weather games and Romo is from Wisconsin. But the winds will always affect a passing game.
