Weather where you are

Why do people always hoard toilet paper though? lol silliest thing.

We’re forecasted to get at least a foot of snow in my area between today and tomorrow. Some models are predicting 20+ inches. We get snow in this part of the Midwest a few times a year, but it’s usually a couple inches at a time. In a small town, this upcoming weather event seems like the only thing anyone can talk about.

I went to Walmart on Thursday and it was an absolute nightmare in there. Half the town was in there and they were sold out of a lot of things.

I hope my CZ homies dealing with the ice and sleet part of this storm stays safe. A couple inches of ice over such a widespread area is going to have a major impact.

I've got about 5" of snow here in Pawnee County, with several more forecasted into tomorrow. Ain't been a fun morning on the farm.

We are expecting 17" of snow and it is around 10 degrees. Tomorrow's high temp will be 14. I can't get my generator started - my fault - its been sitting in my shed for 2 or 3 years. I should have gotten one with an electric starter. Also my fault.

Now it appears I have to drain all the gas and try some new gas to see if it will start. If we lose power heat is going to be a problem.

Once again, it's looking like it won't be as bad as projected....at least in DFW area

I guess that's a good thing

They revised our forecast to 15" from 17". Lol. I still can't get my generator started, and it is too cold to work on it, even in my garage.

I hope you didn't leave gas in the lines all that time. You may have to clean the carburetor.

I use Startron fuel additive in all my small engine stuff and you can leave the fuel in all winter long and it wont gum up carbs.

I can start up a chainsaw that I hadnt used in 2 years and it fires up pretty quickly.

Its good for forgetful people that dont drain their fuels, lol

I should throw some in my leaf blower, since I may or may not use it during Winter. Easier than draining the gas and running it until it dies.
