Weather where you are

we have been dealing with extreme fog in norcal lately, it is cold as heck too!

I know that the winter storm is a couple of days away, but, right now, in the DFW Metroplex, It's B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l outside. The air is sweet to breathe. It's sunny and 64F 52% humidity with SW winds at 3mph. Dewpoint is 46F.

Who all will be hit by the Great Southern Ice Storm of 2026? I'm on the outside but still in the colors of the harshest parts. One thing I've quickly learned is no two weather services are the same. Seen forecasts all over the place on the weekend snow. But appears snow is all I'll deal with, would hate to be in some of those warmer areas with the freezing rain. Good luck to all that will be affected. Having lived in some of those areas, always interesting watching their responses to snow/ice storms since they're not used to it.

I am back in North Dakota until next week. The next four days will be brutal, like Siberia brutal. The highs will be around-8 with lows in the -20’s. Any exposed skin gets frostbite after 10 minutes. I am a Texan and not built for this!

Oh, add 30mph winds with that

They're predicting anywhere from 4" to 18" here in N Oklahoma with insanely cold temps. Today will be piling tons of hay in livestock barns and coops plus milling a lot of feed to get me through the next few days. Definitely gonna earn that big money I'm not going to be getting.

a feels like temp of minus 35 here tomorrow night. and then sunday 10-18 inches of snow. lucky us.

Welp, it is -27 right now but feels like -49. How do these people live like this?

If I am outside for more than 5 minutes, it feels like my eyeballs are frozen solid!

I think we will start getting hit by the snow this Saturday.
Have no clue if it will be a bunch or just a dusting.

I wish the weather forecasters would just tell the truth for once...

"it's Texas so if there is snow or ice on the road, there is a 100%
chance the road will be covered with idiots"

Those of us in the metroplex should probably not plan on going out this weekend. It won't be anything like what we had 6 years ago because it is basically 72 hours below freezing, but the ground is warm going in which helps. Things will be back to normal by Tuesday at the latest.
