I know most people are counting this game as a loss, and I understand why. But personally, I think this game may be more winnable than most people think. Our offense is more dynamic than San Francisco's offense is. I'm not as sold as many people are on Kaepernick being the real deal. If our run defense is at least decent we have a great chance in this game.

I'll give you my prediction after I have had a chance to watch the front seven starters on defense play together. ;)

I think our offense is a bit better than their defense, and their offense is significantly better than our defense. Therefore, I think we lose an a decently close game.

Yeah, but that might not be until this game against SF.
They have a hard time keeping a mix of starters and 2nd teamers playing together.

I agree plus I think SF is a harder nose physical team. Those teams typically give Dallas a little more of a problem on both sides of the ball.

A win in that game, would really give this team a huge edge for the rest of the season. I hope they come out to play hard and I'd love to see them run the ball with some attitude.

I think we can keep it close, but they have a lot more talent, and a much better head coach.

The key in this game is to contain Kaperneak, try to keep him inside the pocket, force him to make the throws. He's not that accurate, and I think we can get some picks that way. But the key to do that, is to also stop the run. That may be an issue there.

I'm not so sure that they are better off with Harbaugh. Harbaugh has made some really bone headed decisions, including abandoning the running game in the Super Bowl against the Ravens. That stupidity cost them the championship. It was just as stupid as us abandoning the run against Green Bay, and losing that game.

What people seem to forget is just how many starters they have out on defense, they had to replace almost the entire secondary, their NT is out, Justin Smith is injuried, LBers are out. That defense isn't as good opening day as it has been the past year or two. Even their offense is missing pieces.

Had we played them later in the season yes it would be a toss up but 1st game we win no doubt

That is less true now than in years before. Our offensive line may NOW be the MOST physically dominant line in the entire NFL. That is saying a lot, but is quite possibly true. Our defensive line may not be loaded with pro bowl pass rushers, but our defense may turn out to be pretty stout against the run if McClain and McClain are healthy and ready to go day 1.

His record as an nfl head coach is 36-11-1, one bad game doesn't make you a bad coach. He is head and shoulders above the moron we have running our team.

Do you have a link to a story where it says their LB's are out? I hadn't heard that.
Edit: I know that Bowman is out, but other then that I thought they were healthy.

Sounds like we should put up 30+

If they win that game, then they could win any game.

I think we got a great shot, but a lot of that has to so with it being week 1. If it was something like week 12 then I wouldn't feel as good. False confidence can go a long way.

As bad as this season could quite possibly be for the defense I think we win this game.

That is just one example of poor coaching by Harbaugh. It was not the only example. If Harbaugh was our coach you would know each and every bad decision he has made.....much like we all know Garrett"s gaffes. Also keep in mind Harbaugh blew it in the biggest game of the year when he had a much better team.

I have even noticed a universally well respected coach like Belichick making poor decisions. Winning covers up a lot of bad coaching decisions. If we had won a few more games most posters would be glazing over the bad decisions by Garrett. I'm not a rose colored glasses Garrett supporter..... But let"s not paint Harbaugh as being omnipotent.
