Week 1: 49ers vs. Dallas

Garrett has had plenty of talent to work with, we should not have been an 8-8 team three years in a row.

He has not had a solid roster at all positions. He's had talent here and there, but a complete lack of talent at other positions.

The OL was a fail until last season. By the time the OL was good, the defense was a fail due to injuries.

The fact that he had Ware and some other star players here and there is completely different than having a solid roster across the board.

If JG had full control of the roster as claimed, then the OL he tried to field in 2011 - 2012 should be his fault too.

Moreso the 2012 trade of Claiborne should have been something he advocated against knowing that he had other pressing needs.

Who said he had full control of the GM duties?

The GM is responsible for talent acquisition (or lack, thereof). Jg plays with the hand that's dealt to him. Is he a great coach? Not looking that way yet, but he shouldn't be the goat that some some are making him to be.

He should be telling the GM what he needs then instead of sitting there in the war room smiling awkwardly when blue-chip talent is getting passed over right before his eyes.

I expect the unexpected every season for the Cowboys so while some are saying it will be doom and gloom for the first couple of games I think they will do well... Once that fan confidence hits a season high with a couple players returning I expect things to go wrong...

Most teams aren't set at every position, welcome to the salary cap era of football. Garett has had plenty of talent to make the playoffs the past three years and hasn't been able to get it done. How many games have we lost due to bad coaching?

Do you have a link to a story where it says their LB's are out? I hadn't heard that.
Edit: I know that Bowman is out, but other then that I thought they were healthy.

Not sure but a guy by the name of Aldon Smith won't be available either.

Whatever term you would attribute to a 41-21 loss, that's what I would call it.

None of us were in pre-draft meetings or the war room. That said, I can't imagine JG not expressing his opinion of the team's needs. What Blue Chip talent did Dallas pass on? If you're going to go back to the Claiborne draft, rest assured that Dallas was one of many teams that had him graded as a Blue player.

That is just one example of poor coaching by Harbaugh. It was not the only example. If Harbaugh was our coach you would know each and every bad decision he has made.....much like we all know Garrett"s gaffes. Also keep in mind Harbaugh blew it in the biggest game of the year when he had a much better team.

I have even noticed a universally well respected coach like Belichick making poor decisions. Winning covers up a lot of bad coaching decisions. If we had won a few more games most posters would be glazing over the bad decisions by Garrett. I'm not a rose colored glasses Garrett supporter..... But let"s not paint Harbaugh as being omnipotent.

Belichick going for it on 4th and long on his own like, 21 yard line, lol.

I'll take the game management gaffes all day long if it means that my team can make it the SB.
