Thats false Riggo, after the game ended the field was hectic and he never made it to midfield, he shook gibbs hand near the entrance to the locker room.

I never heard that if its true, but I'll give Parcells the benefit of the doubt from his days with the Giants.

First before I say anymore, I have seen you on other boards and you are one Cowboy poster I respect and I know doesn't troll.

May I ask how old you are though? If you're 20 or younger, I can understand you not seeing the Commanders the same way...because you've simply been better then us most of the last 15 years.

If Parcells didn't take it personally, why didn't he shake Gibbs' hand after the game? I think its fair to say both coaches respect each others abilities, but there is still a hatred there.

Give me reasons you feel the Bucs weren't any good. I don't think a team wins their division by accident.

You must post at CPND then. Great group of Commander fans over there. I really enjoy talking to them.

Might I ask what name you post under over there?

I'm over 20 by a pretty good bit. I remember all the old rivalry days and when Gibbs was tearing it up. I love the Dallas/Washington rivalry and am hoping that it will get back to how it used to be. Now however, it just isn't what it once was and to expect that Washington would be in Dallas' mind if they win week 2 is just silly.

It's purely conjecture for you to say Parcells took it personally, just like it's conjecture for me to say he didn't. I think Parcells was upset with the performace of his team and would've been no matter the opponent that day.

Who knows why he didn't shake Gibbs hand? Maybe he did it because of how Gibbs had acted the year before when he barely even touched Bill's hand after the Dallas win? Maybe he got sidetracked jumping on a player or assistant coach? Who knows?

I'm certainly not looking at the incident as if Parcells has something against Washington because of that loss and now the week 2 game this year means more. It would be silly to do so, IMO.

And yeah, there is no love lost between Bill and Joe, but again, that doesn't mean Dallas losing in week 2 would devistate Dallas.

I didn't think Tampa was a good team becasue I watched them play several times last year, and came away less than impressed. Their D is pretty good, but not as good as many make them out to be. I don't think their QB is very good, and they play soft, IMO on both sides of the ball.

I just don't think they're very good. Being in a division with a pathetic Saints team and an Atlanta team that isn't nearly as good as people make them out to be isn't proof of much. Carolina is a good team, but they went through a period last year where they struggled quite a bit. Overall, I don't think Tampa's schedule was difficult and they came out on top of a weak division that only had Carolina in the way... and like I said, they had their troubles.

Take away Cadillac Williams and Tampa wouldn't have done squat.

If you're from CPND, you're okay by me riggo.

I go by SkinsIn07 there. Just out of curiousity, do you get the chance to see any Cowboys game live?

I think Tampa's good, but have my doubts they'll be in playoff contention this year because they have to play the entire NFC East and the key players on their defense (Brooks, Barber, Rice) are aging.

It has been a very long time since I've gone to a Dallas game. I used to live in Texas (born there) so I had easy access then. Now I live in Mississippi, so I don't get there very often.

I haven't missed a dallas game since directv came out though. :)

Actually, I don't think I've missed a single snap of a Dallas game since directv came out.

I remember the old days and having to watch whatever game is on TV (usually the Saints here) and watch for the score of the Dallas game. The Gamebreaks when they'd show a TD from another game used to be HUGE. And Primetime, where I could see all the Dallas highlights was like gold.

Technology is great.

Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion of Tampa.... personally, I don't like them... but I've been wrong before.

As far as the "handshaking" incident......this is what I heard.

If you remember, Rivera was hurt pretty badly during the Skins game. He lay motionless on the field for a while....as Parcells and Gibbs headed toward midfield, Parcells pointed to the exit and Gibbs nodded.

It was an unspoken message that Parcells wanted to check on his player. I believe it was Gibbs that said that after the game.

The Commander game will always be "the rivalry". I do want us to beat them more than any other team. I also respect them more than the other NFC East teams. Now, that's not saying much....because I hate them all.

This really will be a fun year. All the East will be formidable. The team that finishes last should have nothing to be ashamed of.

To answer the question seriously......

I'm more worried about the Cowboys trying to "press" too much. I think we outclass the Skins talent-wise.

I live in Norway so my biggest worry is that this will not be a TV game here
