First before I say anymore, I have seen you on other boards and you are one Cowboy poster I respect and I know doesn't troll.
May I ask how old you are though? If you're 20 or younger, I can understand you not seeing the Commanders the same way...because you've simply been better then us most of the last 15 years.
If Parcells didn't take it personally, why didn't he shake Gibbs' hand after the game? I think its fair to say both coaches respect each others abilities, but there is still a hatred there.
Give me reasons you feel the Bucs weren't any good. I don't think a team wins their division by accident.
You must post at CPND then. Great group of Commander fans over there. I really enjoy talking to them.
Might I ask what name you post under over there?
I'm over 20 by a pretty good bit. I remember all the old rivalry days and when Gibbs was tearing it up. I love the Dallas/Washington rivalry and am hoping that it will get back to how it used to be. Now however, it just isn't what it once was and to expect that Washington would be in Dallas' mind if they win week 2 is just silly.
It's purely conjecture for you to say Parcells took it personally, just like it's conjecture for me to say he didn't. I think Parcells was upset with the performace of his team and would've been no matter the opponent that day.
Who knows why he didn't shake Gibbs hand? Maybe he did it because of how Gibbs had acted the year before when he barely even touched Bill's hand after the Dallas win? Maybe he got sidetracked jumping on a player or assistant coach? Who knows?
I'm certainly not looking at the incident as if Parcells has something against Washington because of that loss and now the week 2 game this year means more. It would be silly to do so, IMO.
And yeah, there is no love lost between Bill and Joe, but again, that doesn't mean Dallas losing in week 2 would devistate Dallas.
I didn't think Tampa was a good team becasue I watched them play several times last year, and came away less than impressed. Their D is pretty good, but not as good as many make them out to be. I don't think their QB is very good, and they play soft, IMO on both sides of the ball.
I just don't think they're very good. Being in a division with a pathetic Saints team and an Atlanta team that isn't nearly as good as people make them out to be isn't proof of much. Carolina is a good team, but they went through a period last year where they struggled quite a bit. Overall, I don't think Tampa's schedule was difficult and they came out on top of a weak division that only had Carolina in the way... and like I said, they had their troubles.
Take away Cadillac Williams and Tampa wouldn't have done squat.
If you're from CPND, you're okay by me riggo.
