Well it is dumb. I could list dozens of rookie WR’s who did nothing on their rookie year who went on to be Hall of Famers.
Name 3rd round pick rookie WRs who did nothing their rookie year but went on to be Hall of Famers. Name them.
Give me a break dude. Jeez.
I also would like to see your list of dozens of rookie WR’s who did nothing in their rookie year and went on to be Hall of Famers.

We’ve got some posters here who haven’t been around the block. Just kids.

He should have been ready by now with the lack luster WR group we have. They kept talking him up during training camp as a possible starter and he’s having trouble just making the game day roster So far he’s been a bust. We’re not playing great on offense we’re winning with defense. I’m sure if the Cowboys had a do over they would take another player instead of Tolbert.

I think one of the problems is that many had really high hopes for the kid (possibly unfairly). If anyone was paying attention at TC, he wasn't lighting up the world there, either. It make him some time to adjust and he may be a bust. I think it's too early to tell, right now. Miles Austin didn't exactly light up the stats sheet his first couple of seasons here either (he was almost cut in favor of Sam Hurd). Austin turned out alright. Time will tell.
True, but Miles Austin was undrafted. Jalen Tolbert was drafted in the 3rd round. That's a costly pick that should be contributing somewhat right now halfway through the season, especially since we are struggling with our receivers to contribute.

Who is saying Tolbert sucks? We're simply questioning what is going on and why he as a costly 3rd round pick has not gotten on the field, even placed as inactive in most games, yet a rookie undrafted WR played both Week 1 & 2 games? We fans have every right to question what is going on.
Do you know the difference in knowledge and wisdom?

Smart 5th graders have knowledge.

I get everyone's responses, but how are you going to learn and improve if you don't even step on the field even 1 time? So we used a costly 3rd round pick to contribute next year in 2023, not this year? Is this what 3rd round picks today are supposed to be used for even though we need the help at WR right now?

He’s played in three games this season. Use the internet.

Some first rounders don’t contribute rookie season…..third rounder sitting on the bench on a contender is not that uncommon.

Let’s give him time. Just like it’s too early to fit Micah for a gold jacket, it’s too early to call Tolbert a bust…

I get that, but honestly, I don't care where a guy is drafted as long as he eventually contributes. Last year's second round pick is being outplayed by this year's 5th round pick. Anthony Brown is outplaying the majority of corners that were drafted in his class. Would I LIKE for Joseph to be playing better than Bland? Of course, but in the end, I just want Joseph to be a decent player. Same for Tolbert. He's a kid from a small school who is probably a little overwhelmed. All we can hope for is that it starts to click for him.
