If a player is doing good or bad prior to the game they talk about that during the game even if that player is doing just the opposite.
It is not just the cowboys.
I hear it during steelers games and the announcers are going on and on about the struggles of Big Ben. The other team will be on offense and they are still talking about Ben.
Look at what was going on with Reggie Bush. How many times have there been subpar games by him yet the announcers are signing his praises during the game before he has done anything? You would think people/announcers forgot that the saints have another pretty decent RB coming off of an injury.
It just goes with the territory sometimes.
All true. It's a matter of degree.
It doesn't mean he didn't do a lousy job yesterday. He did.
I have NEVER wanted to shut off the sound on my TV set during an Aikman game.
Yesterday was a close call.
