Back in the day when Tony replaced Bledsoe i took it hard. Because this is a first over-all pick and pro bowl quarterback being replaced by a kid who wasn't even drafted.
Well you know how that turned out.
The Romo fans are having some of the same feelings I had back then. The slipping away of a guy they respect and feel is the better option.
Lots of good reasons to keep dak as QB. Lots of good reasons to bring back Romo.
But if you recall the Washington games over the last few years, those guy blitz Romo into the stone age. One game he was hurt. And even Romo didn't look Romo-esque during those games.
So if your reasoning has to do with Dak looking less dak-ish against the eagles, that happens to most pros. You get a rush up the middle on brady and he looks like every other quarterback who can't step into a pass.
If Romo starts, I am still a Cowboy fan and will back the team. If he struggles at first, he will need to knock off the rust.
But there will be a day when they call Dak's number. That day may be when they make a half time move. And history says those days are when the baton is handed from one to the other. The Romo or nothing crew will be angry.
I know how you feel. I've been there.
But this is still the team i back and if it is Dak or Romo, I am still behind them. This is not about one player.
It is about one team. About one game. About one trophy.
