We'll be lucky to end the season 6-10 if we continue the way we are.

But you are the one who is assuming.

You are saying that if we had only thrown the ball more we would have been up by more points. That's simply not an accurate statement.

You don't know what would have happened, because you are exposing Bledsoe more to a very good defense with a very good pass rush. For all we know throwing the ball more would have led to 3 or 4 more sacks, a fumble and a pick or two. We could have actually *given* points to the Commanders when it looked like their offense certainly wasn't going to provide any.

As you say, you don't assume anything.

The offensive line did a great job protecting Bledsoe, and the strength of Washington's defense is the front seven. They are average in the secondary.

We did the same thing yesterday. We played scared and it lost us the game. We refused to attack a weak secondary and instead used the same gameplan we used during the first three games. Maybe Parcells is figuring out that it doesn't work?

Guess what? Our WRs ain't exactly Bruce, Holt and Az-Hakeem running around there either.

And Bledsoe stayed relatively upright because Washington stopped blitzing when they got burned on a JJ run into the teeth of it. I guarantee you if we started taking more shots down the field and running less 3 step drop passes the blitzes would have started coming fast and furious.

The offensive line was horrible yesterday. If decided we were the 2000 Rams yesterday and opened things up Bledsoe would probably be on a stretcher right now.

Before the season everyone said the same thing - Bledsoe will be fine if can manage the game, get protection and we don't have to depend on him to throw to win. Now all of a sudden we want to put in the Run-N-Shoot with Bledsoe at the helm.

You guys seriously need to be careful what you wish for.

Actually its not that stupid, after 36 regular season games in the past 3 seasons (including this one) the cowboys are just 18-18, this particular trend suggests an 8-8 finish. Not saying this is what's going to happen but that's where the evidence points to.

Yeah -- why even both playing the games if our trend has been a .500 up to this point. If you want a "trend" he's one -- we are 2-1 on the road -- if that trend holds we'll win 5 or 6 on the road -- unfortunately since we are 0-1 at home so our trend projects to an 0-8 home record. Your evidence would suggest that no team could ever get better or worse from one season to another. That's just silly.

I never said that. Bledsoe is not a bus driver. When he was allowed to do his thing in Buffalo he went to the Pro Bowl.

Then for some reason the Bills decided to get rid of his favorite target and went to a ball control offense. Kinda like what we're trying to do.

It didn't work for them and it won't work for us. Bledsoe isn't that type of quarterback. Never has been.

I really had no problem with the conservative game plan against the skins. We didn't score quite as many points as we should have in order to totally ice the game but what the skins did at the end was a 1 in 77 occurrence for Parcells (fact). I'd take up 13 with 4 minutes to go every week and feel great about it.

On the other hand yesterday's game plan had me puzzled. It was conservative in the extreme against a team that's stong against the run and poor vs. the pass. I assume BP was trying to shorten the game to keep their offense off the field. Personnally I think we could have outscored them by being aggressive. But the fact is their big guys beat our big guys on both sides of the ball. When that happens you usually lose no matter what the game plan is. Our QB showed guts to give us a chance to win and we nearly pulled it out. It's a tough loss and it does put the next 2 games into close to a "must win" situation and that will be tough to do. But I remain hopeful.

Call me a doom and gloomer too, but nothing the Cowboys have shown so far lets me give them the edge over Philly, NY or Seattle.

The 2 W's are great and it's great to see a team with the ability to come from behind, but in truth, there was no reason the Cowboys should have needed to come back vs. SF and Oak.

Poor gameplanning/playcalling have greatly contributed to the this team being a .500 ball team - instead of 3-1 or even 4-0 - at the quarter mark.

The gameplans used in our two loses were near perfect. Unfortunately, bad execution by players cost us both games.

Those are just the facts. (Missed field goal vs Wash, holding penalty on Flo)(Illegal procedure on Key nullifes TD vs Raiders, poor blocking by Flo at 3 yards line causes negative play)

If we use the same gameplan against Philly, and hold them under 20, I like our chances.
