This will be year one of a newly installed offense.

The team's stability has been improved.

First, an offensive line starting out, can be very capable and able to handle both the passing and running games.

The team has a whole group of special skill players with top end speed to push field limits and add quickness needs to make decisions for an opposing defense tough. This gives greater play selections an advantage.

Pass plays can increase in the 20 yard area and still be under the 2.5 second limit for completions. If defenses drop back, then the run and quick passes open up and still marches the ball slowly down the field.

With a lot of pre-snatch movement, defenses will have to show their single or zone coverage intent from play start. A few seconds prior to snap, Dak Prescott should easily be able to tell if there are 'hidden' coverages as well. That was Dak's learning assignment for this off season. He really isn't a stupid quarterback.

Head Coach McCarthy has an advantage here. He is well experienced in the two styles of offense being combined. He has successfully coached both types in his career. He is able to identify and game adjust in applications. Already he is aware of pitfalls and can slowly hinder opponents' learning process through through the year expansion applications.

Teams then will have to prepare for more wrinkles over the year.

Then they will attempt to over power some aspect of that play...but after a single or few attempts at creating a weakness, the alternatives, which are now more extensive, will again open things up.

If the offensive line is stable, then this should be a productive as well as top shelf unit.

The passing attack is crucial for Dallas. The three receivers must remain healthy and productive...other wise teams will again have a point to attack the offense. That will be much harder a position to dominate from.

Right now, McCarthy has a full deck of cards and very well will be a top team in the NFC. Mess with the wide receivers and Dallas has to over come momentums added to games from that point forward.

That's the game of football and what the Cowboys have to deal with. Either dominating from the start, or reacting to a game changing event just like in a game.

It then becomes forcing adjustments and returning momentums.

I am curious to see how the 30% difference in the offense can make a difference.
However we won't see it until game 1, then it will still take several weeks to get in sync.

I really hope they player the starters in some PS games to get at least some of the basics worked out, and real game timing.
I think adding the speed of Cooks can make a huge difference in the passing game, and can even help the run game. As, hopefully they can't always stack the box as before.

However, I really want to see the improvement even more of the defense. Year 3 under DQ, and the added talent from the draft and FA in Gilmore. This defense could be pretty dang good if that run defense improves like we want it to.

One tendency that Dallas has never set records at, is early game scoring. Games grow with them, through the opponent for that week...and don't start out with a lot of points quickly in the first quarter.

A team in a Super Bowl trailing by seven at the end of the 1st quarter has almost always had much difficulty coming back and winning the Lombardi.

That was a strong trait by Romo and now, Prescott...during the regular season. But projected, more of a reflection of not truly dominant as a team.

Who won Super Bowl XXII? Then why was this asked?
Loose ends for others, so, I'll answer. You wouldn't answer anyway.

That Super Bowl was Denver/Elway vs Washington/Williams. Washington was the first team in a Super Bowl to come back and down by 7 at the end of quarter one. Also, Williams was the first black quarterback to lead the winning team in a Super Bowl.

Williams didn't usually have a high percentage of completions. He did for that game.

You didn't say a thing...try again, maybe?

Your eyesight gone and have to have LARGE letters to read? See an optomotrist...know anything about football and want to discuss something?
Please don't. Most likely. And unequivocally, NO.

What are you hoping for from a B- coach and a tier 3-4 QB?
Keep posting those 10-paragraph posts even though most of us are wishing you get writer's block as pretty much no one reads them due to their length.
My eyes are fine 20/20 hope MM and Dak are the same.
Stay around during the season as I have a feeling you're gonna have a lot of work on your hands trying to excuse the inexcusable!!!!

The team looks to be a little better this year, so I'm not sure how much credit for any potential improvement should go to MM. We'll see.

The offense is better at WR, but no significant improvement elsewhere.

The already good defense should be exceptional.

I'll believe the play calling has improved when I see it.

MM should have had control of the offense from day one. But no, Jerry forced KM on him.
