Well, I graduate college in 8 days and there are no jobs to be had

Also look at contract jobs yes they contract out office type jobs I was getting interviews when i first left college I was making the 2nd cut almost every time just not quite closing the final door. It was we will pick 3 out 5. I have always done well overall in interviews any ways I ended up taking a contract job that was suppose to be a 6 week project 3 days in my boss said do not worry you are not going any where I stuck around got hired eventually and it help lead me to better opportunities.

Yea it may suck but hay fresh out of college sometimes you got to suck it up.

I agree with this.

I contracted with various companies for almost five years after I graduated. I lived a minimalist lifestyle. Made good money, but I saved quite a bit as well. Saved so much that when the contract ended and I didn't have anything lined up right away, I just treated it as a vacation until another job came through. Usually withing 2-3 weeks.

The only time I didn't get anything right away, it was actually after the last official recession. It took 7 months to find something again. Savings were stretched thing, but I was thankful I had it to use.

Anywho, I think contracting is the way to go. Just gotta have the mentality that sometimes a contract job can go short just as much as it can go long. Just gotta be prepared for either to happen.

I've got 4 classes left and I'll be a graduate with a Computer Science degree and Studio Art minor.

My brother recently graduated college and bought a $3,000 mower and $1,000 trailer. So far they're both collecting dust and I doubt he made $500 in revenue.
Two words: Lemonade stand ;)
