We'll rue the day for letting the Jets take Clemens

So what? We decided we wanted the extra pick offered.

Clemens was on our Draft Board for the 3rd round. He was gone by then. Life goes on. Root for Henson and/or Romo and/or Mroz.
Chill out. I'm not a Clemens fan. I prefer Fasano and an extra pick. I was just saying that the #18 pick was not the only opportunity at getting him, which was what you stated earlier.

Clemens wasn't even on the radar. If Daryn Colledge had been on the board at 49 or 53 we probably would have gone OL but we weren't taking a QB in the 2nd round that won't play for at least one or more years when we've got a team that has a chance to win now with some help. Fasano can help us win games this year. Clemens wouldn't. And the truth is depending on how things go in TC with Romo and Henson we may not take a QB high NEXT year.

That pick makes good sense for the Jets- they've got a big question mark with Pennington and had nothing much behind him. And they're a terrible team in full rebuilding mode. Thankfully our front office is not banging their heads over a silly what if about a dubious luxury pick.

Who the hell are we to pass up on a kid like this - a month after the draft and this still kills me...He's Ron Jaworski's top QB in the draft...not Leinart or Young - BUT Clemens...
But hey ...we got another tight end....with back problems ....Idiots. :bang2:

Your wrong.

Jaws top qb was cutler and he compared his release to marino.

Get your facts straight

I personally like the "so what" argument. It is under utilized on this board;)

any time someone says "rue the day" all words after that tend to be a joke.

Youre going to rue the day you said typed that.:laugh2:

per X-Dawg's request NFL adopted a new policy to allow players who have yet to play a down in the NFL into HOF based on request. Since the adoption of this new policy Clemens was added to the 2006 Inductees of HOF. the NFL send a thank you letter to X-Dawg for correcting what's been wrong with the NFL for years.

they also decided to let Lawson in there since it seems many cowboys fan wanted Lawson and we didn't get him.

they also passed a rule to block players from getting into HOF no matter what they do in the future, thus based on this rule Carpenter was banned from ever getting into probowl, or HOF no matter what he does.

another player who is on the hot list of HOFers based on the enourmous number of requests from cowboys fans is Daryn College and Chad Jackson.

these players represent a new trend for the NFL.

x-dawg for president since he knows everything.

Chill out? I was hardly even tepid.

Oregon QB's, including better ones than Clemons, haven't exactly ruled the NFL thus far.

I agree.

Jaws has had unparalleled success evaluating QBs in his recent stint coaching for Arizona, which was able to be choosy when hiring Jaws because of their unbelievable success with QBs.

Oh, wait.......

Geez Hos. It took ya long enough.

Nope we will rue the day that we have no shot at having the #1 pick next year when a real prospect will be in the draft. Being coached by Weiss

It was not jaws that picked Clemens as his top QB, I believe it was Hodge that thought he looked the best.

I don't respect either's opinions really, but Merrill Hoge?

Nobody knows QB's like Jaws - nobody watches more film - He said Clemens' release is Marinoesque....:banghead:

That must be why so many NFL teams are lining up to hire him for their personnel department...
