Great teams are built with both great draft picks and great FA signings.

A great FA signing should fill at least one of two criteria:
1) The signing should fill a need.
2) The contract should represent good value.

The greater the hole filled, the less the need for the contract to offer good value. It's OK to overpay a little for a great difference making player or one that fills a huge need.
