That really shouldn’t matter. Washington isn’t making the playoffs, so they have nothing to lose. Might as well see what the young guy looks like.

They were arguing that playing a guy when he’s not ready is more detrimental than getting him experience is beneficial. Say he goes out and gets sacked 3 times and throws 2 picks, it may hurt his confidence.

I’d play him, just relaying what some of the Washington media has been saying.

I would have said Indy will bring him in but they already did. He'll be a backup somewhere as long as he doesn't accidentally throw the clipboard to the wrong person or get hurt carrying it.

Rivera admitted he did not know his team could be eliminated last week when he started Wentz.

That should get him fired for sure.

Somehow, I don't think he cares at this point.

Wow! This season couldn't have lined up better for us. We could have been 14-2 or even 13-3 headed into a game with Washington, who is already looking forward to the offseason.
But nothing comes easy for the Dallas Cowboys.

Caron Wentz's career has gone steadily south since his injury during the Eagles' Super Bowl season.

I was talking with my brother-in-law about this the other day. It's crazy how fast his career nosedived. I can't think of another QB that just regressed that quickly (well, maybe RGIII).

Fun fact: Washington coach Ron Rivera didn't even know his team was eliminated with a Packers win Sunday when a reporter told him after the game.

So this QB decision making doesn't surprise me.
