Didn’t we discuss this earlier? It’s a 44 MIL cap hit. I just can’t see how PHIL gets around that hit.

It's actually only 10 million more than his cap hit if they keep him. But since Philly is going to be so much over the cap in 2021, adding another 10 million might be a problem.

While highly unlikely, if the Colts traded for Wentz and didn't redo his contract, his cap hits would be:

2021: 25.4mill
2022: 22 mill
2023:25mill
2022: 26mil.

So if I'm reading this right, the roster bonus gets transferred to the Colts? That's actually not a bad deal for the Colts. They could also cut him after a year if need be.

Next HC needs to keep Wentz and address their other offensive issues. I'm in no way a Wentz defender, but you don't need to back yourself in a corner with one unproven QB if you have 2 under contract.
