Twitter: Werder: Cowboys are carefully representing hiring of Pettine as here to support Parker

Jerry has his hands in too many pots. Owner shouldn't be the GM and also shouldn't dictate the HC hires.
Which is it first you criticize him for letting his HC pick, then say he should not dictate who the HC hires? Whether he should or should not be the GM is irrelevant for the argument he is the GM and that is not changing unless he dies.

I find it odd I started a post yesterday as soon as the news was released. It didn't get approved. And yet these ones the pictures not even showing up. But yes, it's good he wanted to hire this guy in the first place. Mike wanted to stay retired. Now they talked him out of retirement. He's a senior. Defensive assistant. Man, he's just below Parker. That's a good thing. He's got some help spread the communications and the 34 defense particulars and I hope it helps on game day. I believe he's going to stay on the sideline and Parker's going into the booth.

Coach in waiting.

This is what Jerry gets for letting a first time HC be in charge of hiring his DC, who is also a first-time DC. The fans will continue to suffer for as long as the Jones family runs this organization like their personal fantasy football team.
That's hilarious, since everyone said that last year Matt Eberfloos was forced upon Brian Stottenheimer. Now Brian Schottenhamer got the pick. Everyone said it was good. Now you're saying it's bad because you're sitting here living in real time thinking that's what it is, and man, some of y'all just really have to stop the nonsense...

Once again, the Cowboys already tried to get Pettine on Parker's staff this offseason. Their ties go back to Green Bay. Pettine wanted to stay retired and declined up until now.
I tried to post this yesterday and get ahead of it and it didn't get approved for whatever reason. And I try to make sure this would have all been clear to everyone, but nobody listens. They are not demoting. Christian Parker. From what I understand, like you said, he wanted him here in the first place as his assistant Main senior. Assistant for the defense.

He wanted to stay retired now. They talked about A retirement. And the arrangement looks like at least at the beginning, as Parker is going up to the booth. And now he has. A trusted. Assistant on the sidelines so they can relay. What they're seeing on both levels and coming up with some better. Adjustments in the game with better communication to the players, and I don't see a problem with that. But people think this is some kind of demotion or a problem for Parker, and Parker wanted this guy here from the beginning because he's a very, very seasoned 34 defensive guy.

Why do i have to answer for what everyone else said ?

Parker is on notice, even if he wanted Pettine here. The Cowboys now have a suitable in-season replacement if things go far south on defense. That wasn't the case before because all of Parker's assistants were probably not qualified either.

It's all politics. The game within the game. Parker may have signed off on bringing Pettine in but I'm sure the Cowboys did not mind it either as it now gives them a backup plan just in case

Because First off, nobody knows for sure how all this worked. He could have approved Matt Eberfloos in private and no one's gonna tell you otherwise, so it's ridiculous for you to stay here and say. That it was a stupid idea. And that somehow Jerry didn't approve of this. There were other teams that interviewed Christian Parker that were interested in Christian Parker.

There are lots and lots and lots of new green assistants, During every hiring cycle. And somehow some are okay because you know, in hindsight how it's working out. But that's it. You get a retread or you get green.

We've already tried retreads,

so I'm just telling you that you sound ridiculous. This is what he gets. This is what we get.

You sound like a toddler.

These decisions are not made without consultation. And debate. There's a lot of people in the room when they're doing these types of hirings. Most people approved of this hiring. Jerry interviewed other people that have worked with him. He asked around. He asked players. This was one of the guys that were coming with highly recommended. It was going to be wanted by others, and yet you think it was a bad hire. How about this? I'm telling you again. You sound ridiculous.

Parker is going to be a really good DC in this league and giving it, he only had four games. Since game one, when they came in relatively healthy, but he's missing five key players on defense. And he's trying to install a brand new defense, a 34 from a 43, which is a huge undertaking. And now all they're doing is putting the assistant that he wanted in the first place as his. Go to guy his number one. Senior defensive assistant that's now going to be on the sidelines during games. From what I hear, it's rumors and Kristen Parker now is going to go up in the booth and now he has somebody he could trust to communicate and they can. Help the players. And help each other call a better game. And somehow you think this is somehow a failure on Christian Parker when they begin with he wanted this guy on his staff and Mike didn't want to come out of retirement at the time, but he is now. This in no way, shape or form is threatening Christian Parker's job. So again, you sound ridiculous....

That's not what this is about. You are ridiculous. You don't even know the story. This is your overreaction. You sound like a bunch of toddlers. He wanted to hire this guy. Christian Parker wanted this guy on his staff to begin with. Mike didn't want to come out of retirement. They talked him out of retirement. He is just a senior. Assistant that will be just below Parker. He is not on notice for anything. This is literally what he wanted in the first place. This is his idea. This is his idea and that's a fact.

Anyone else want to overreact? Anyone. Anyone not know the full story and how this came about and the fact that this is a positive both from the front office and from Chris Parker, who wants to make sure? That they get this. Going quicker, given all the injuries and all the problems they've had, not Parker's fault that these players are not getting it, but read and understand because your comprehension skills are that of a toddler..

No evidence your right.

But they're not. If anybody wanted to read the whole story instead of just look at the headline and overreact, they're overreacting like little toddlers that think they know everything. Parker wanted this guy on his staff to begin with. This is Parker's idea. This helps the Cowboys. This helps Cowboys fans. That way, Parker has somebody that knows this defense very well to be on the sidelines, to be at practice, to be in the meeting rooms where he can't be in every room and be everywhere, and also on game day from what I hear. Mike will be on the sidelines to start and he will be now up in the booth so they can communicate. They can see with each other, seeing and make better, quicker judgments. And make the adjustments and the players now will get it quicker.

Clown franchise
Majority of the Cowboys fan base specially some posting things like this are also clowns so hey if the shoe fits clown fans supporting clown teams.. I'm glad you see yourself that way 'cause that's the way I see it too....

Clown franchise
Actually there's a bunch of clown comments in here that I understand the situation they're trying to improve the team that's not clown like that's business like they've been making moves like bringing over JPJ recently they're gonna make more moves this is just another move to help the transition from the 43 to the 34 counting all the injuries and they're trying to improve the team and you call it a clown franchise I call that a clown comment...NEXT

“The #Cowboys are carefully representing the hiring of Pettine as someone who is here to support Christian Parker and offer advice based on his experience. But NFL coaches I’ve spoken to who know Pettine and the dynamics of the situation with the Cowboys believe the more influence and responsibility Pettine has, the better for the team.

One HC who had Pettine on his staff: “They finally hired a real coach. Pettine is legit. Dallas will walk away with that division now.”
Yeah I think they're overstating that a bit but it is nice that they recognized they needed some help and they went out and got it whether it works or not I don't know but it doesn't matter they are trying to improve the team Zoe Porter Junior now another coach this transition from a 43 to a 34 with all the injuries or it's taken longer than it can and they utilize the extra three days to consult each other get in a room and say what can we do and I think they're gonna have certain players in certain groups lose reps and others gain reps in games that they start trying to find players who want to play and they can understand their assignments and some guys even with a bigger names and the bigger paychecks are going to get less reps during game day and some of them might be inactive..

I don’t care who calls the D just make plays. No one ever makes the play. Bland had a chance and it slipped through his fingers…
Oh I didn't slip through his fingers he was so shocked there was a ball or a person anywhere near him he freaked out and his body went in shock.. He was literally paralyzed,,lol :muttley:
