Werder: Favre to meet with Childress, lol - 5/5/09

“Undisclosed Location” Of Childress-Favre Meeting Revealed

Posted by Mike Florio on May 6, 2009, 9:33 a.m.

When there’s information to be obtained regarding NFL matters, there’s only one guy to put on the case.

Taco Bill.

Last night, we asked him to determine the “undisclosed location” at which Vikings coach Brad Childress and free-agent quarterback Brett Favre will meet.

And, in roughly twelve hours, Taco Bill came through. The photographic evidence is right here.

There’s a party brewing at the “undisclosed location.”

Its over, hes signed. Childress was quoted as saying ''I fell in love with his smile. After I gazed into his eyes I knew deep in my heart that he was ready to lead the vikings.''

...in other news, George Blanda decides retirement not all it's cracked up to be, plans to rejoin the Raiders.

Al Davis would gladly take him back.

Funny thing is Favre, even at what, 56 years old is STILL better than at least half the QBs in the league right now. He played well last year -- at least through the first 2/3rds of the season. Lost steam last 6 games or so. If Childress can convince him to rest a bit more and try to limit his throws then he can be very effective in the Vikes O.

Brad Childress does not look like a football coach at all IMO. He looks like he should be checking out office supplies at Staples or something.

With Davis leading the charge, I would not at all be surprised... Hell, he might even call back Casper and Belitnikoff for another vintage aerial assault

Just went through an NFL Live. Brett was the only thing discussed. Jim rome is burning has 3 Bretts out of 4 in his Rome is Burning segments. This is getting ridiculous.

He should. He's better than half the starting QBs in this league right now.

He'll be in a dome, playing for a playoff team, handing to Adrian Peterson. A lot better situation than NY.

"Better than half of all starting QB's" doesn't cut it in the NFL. But, for the record, THAT's about where I've had him for over a decade.

The guy in Washington is "better than half". As is the guy in Buffalo. The new guy in Detroit is also "better than half". McNabb is too. JaMarcus Russell and Jeff Garcia are "better than half".............

In "QB-Ville" in the NFL, you gotta' be "in the top four" (like Tony Romo is, IMO) to get any traction. UNLESS, OF COURSE, if you're Brett Favrvarveerevere. If you're Brett Fart, than all you gotta' be is "not part of the problem" to get away with another go 'round and another soap-opera extension of a non-existent career.

Brett Favorervorever isn't ever going to win another championship. Odd's are he ain't going to another playoff game either. He couldn't deliver more than ONE (as in UNO, SINGLE, ONE AND ONLY) Ring in his Valhalla and Nirvana, Green Bay. His "Championship Pedigree" is right up there with Doug Williams, Trent Dilpher and Brad Johnson. He's a hiccup away from "Marino-ville". All numbers, all stat's, gaudy results, NO RING!!!!

Brett Fart is now, officially, the biggest "team wrecker" in the NFL. More than T.O., Ocho Cinco, and Tank Johnson combined. He's to be avoided at all costs..................

Favre to stay retired.

The Minnesota Vikings will not sign free-agent quarterback Brett Favre(notes), a source close to the team told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.
The source said Favre told Vikings coach Brad Childress that he wanted to remain retired in a phone call that took place sometime in the last day. Favre is expected to publicly explain his decision soon.
Favre retired after the 2008 season, which he spent with the New York Jets. There was speculation that the Vikings were interested in bringing in a veteran to compete with Sage Rosenfels(notes), who was acquired this offseason from the Houston Texans. Rosenfels is atop the depth chart heading into training camp, with Tarvaris Jackson and John David Booty(notes) also on the roster.
