we're going to the Super Bowl this year

Its crap like this that gets us in trouble.

Now we have Bob looking ahead to the Super Bowl instead of concentrating on the Raiders; we're gonna flop this Thursday for sure now.

Always looking ahead instead of taking care of bizniz.

I see you consulted Mr. Peabody and the Wayback Machine to make Jerry look passable. How cute. Jerry without Jimmy is like the Titanic without lifeboats. Or Ringo without John, Paul and George. Pick whichever analogy tickles your fancy.

Super Bowl XXX was Jimmy-free for 2 full seasons, and the '03-'06 Cowboys featured Parcells calling most of the shots.

The '07 version featured 13 wins and 13 Pro Bowlers, and the '08 version was derailed by injuries and a cancerous locker room... a locker room that Jerry cleaned up this past offseason. By the way, we still were a winning team last year despite the injuries and despite playing in the toughest division in football. Our record was the same as the NFC Champs.

The '09 version is in 1st place in the NFC East after 10 games.

It's not the least bit unrealistic to think we have a good team with a decent chance at postseason success.

And here's the part the Jerry/Parcells/Wade/Garrett/Romo bashers absolutely hate: we're 29-13 since '07, and someone must get credit for that.
I like Owner Jerry just fine. BTW, this was not a serious thread, so there's no reason for you to get upset.
Upset? Your Gloomy Gil Dobie-like negativity amuses me. We're 7-3 and in 1st place, yet you act like we have no chance in hell at any sort of postseason success. :lmao2: Can't get more ignorant than that.

We haven't even gotten to december yet.I hope with all my heart that this team is different, but I don't see how anyone can trust them until they prove they can play good winning football down the home stretch.

I will be happy with Playoff appearance and one win in Playoffs. Anything beyond that is just gravy. I started getting my hopes up during the 4 game run, now I am back to earth.

I could not be happy with that. Coming in 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th or... whatever whiling going for SB would never be a "happy" thing for me.

The UnderAchievers Super Bowl - Cowboys vs Chargers (the SB that should have been back in 1995-1996 season INSTEAD of 49ers vs Chargers happens this season.

Something got you feelin it to post this topic.

Elaborate please.

B.S., you're not full of bs with this one! I'm so hoping you are correct...btw. I don't think it's a reach to see this happening depending on our play down the stretch...the Vikes and the Saints aren't invincible, IMO...

The Saints are the Cowboys of 2007. One and done.

We'll see the Vikes in the NFC Championship.

We will beat The Stealers to ring 7. I know it. The Stars are aligning.

:eek:hboy:

Do you see the Cowboys winning on the road?
Do you see the Cowboys beating Vikings at their home?
Do you see the Cowboys beating the Saints at home?
Do you see the Cowboys winning in the playoffs?

Do you watch the NFL?

Dallas has as good a shot at this point of the season as the 2007 Giants or the 2008 Cardinals had.

The Giants won it all as the 5th seed in '07. Three straight road playoff wins, plus a Super Bowl upset over an 18-0 team. Oh, and they were 0-4 against the Cowboys, Packers, and Patriots in the regular season... beat them all in the playoffs.

The Cardinals got to the Super Bowl in '08 as a 9-7 division winner, and were one defensive stand from hoisting the Lombardi. Same record we had last year. They were 0-2 against the Panthers and Eagles in the regular season... Philly smoked 'em by 28... beat them both in the playoffs.

Pretty amusing how people still act like the NFL is predictable. If Dallas makes the playoffs, anything can happen.

It's not lunacy to think we could win it all... it's lunacy to think we have no shot in hell. Welcome to the NFL of the 21st Century.

Even the Rams are technically not mathmatically eliminated. Anything can happen...........
