No Nav, those teams had Jerry. But then two of them had the anti-Jerry venom.

It was Jimmy-cillin.

The active ingrediant that lasts an extra couple of years in the blood stream.

That Jimmy-cillin must last longer than just "an extra couple years", because we're 29-13 since 2007.

And according to 'Boys fans... Jerry, Wade, and Garrett are all buffoons.

It's amazing how we're 7-3 and in 1st place with nothing but buffoons running the show.

All you can ask for is a chance. If we go into the playoffs playing well and confident, we have a chance.
The offense has too much talent to continue to average only 12 points as it has over the past 3 games. I think pretty soon, we'll get back to scoring 20-25+ points. As long as the defense holds up thru December, we should be ok.

I'm not saying SB, but I keep having this thought in my head of us playing up north in Minny for the NFC title game.

Farve against Romo. It would be a classic. A man can dream right?

That is what I'm hoping for and it is what Jimmy Johnson has predicted. Right now the only thing I have on my mind is the Raiders game and getting to 8-3. I'll leave it to others to make the predictions and hope you are right.

Wow, neato! Care to tell us how many playoff games we've won during that impressive 29-13 regular season stretch?

The regular season is the precursor to the REAL season. In that category we've been woefully inept. That doesn't mean that the streak of bad luck won't end this year, but to tout a regular season record that has amounted to watching the Super Bowl (or hell even the NFCCG) from the same place that the Lions watch it from is going to fall woefully short of an effective debate tool.

But, by all means, continue to sing your praises of regular season greatness. It's obviously been instrumental to our post-season success.

True but you don't see teams playing bad in the reg season make the post season. Since our last playoff win in 1996 Dallas has managed to make the post season 5 time 2 of those trips with the member of the SB teams and only 3 times since we rose from the ashes of 5-11. What Dallas does this year with this team we will find out but what has taken place before has no bearing on this season.

I agree. Which makes 22-10 of that impressive 29-13 completely irrelevant.

True, Dallas hit the bottom of the barrel there for a while with some pretty bad teams. This is a team who can contend all that is left is getting over that hump.

I will be happy with Playoff appearance and one win in Playoffs. Anything beyond that is just gravy. I started getting my hopes up during the 4 game run, now I am back to earth.

Why would you be happy with that.

Is that really an accomplishment?

Nobbody remembers, nobody cares. It is just something so that opposing teams fans can't say "when was your last playoff win" which really means nothing to me.

By the way, I could very easily see two NFC east teams playing for the Superbowl.

Any given day and I say that for the Giants, Eagles and the Cowboys. When and if the Giants make the playoffs they would be the last team I wouldwant to play, barely in front of the Eagles.

THIS.
:clap2:
You don't go from not winning a playoff game in 13+ seasons to winning a SB. I like the optimism, but the Cowboys are not where they should be on both sides of the ball to even be considered SB contenders. Maybe I'm being a little too harsh, but that's what they've shown us this season, regardless of their record.

Also, lets not forget that they've only beaten ONE decent team, the Eagles. So the original post is extremely far-fetched. I don't even know how he came to that realization of the Boys making it to the SB, it's honestly beyond me.

Yes, it is an accomplishment. It gets the monkey off their back. A 13 year old monkey. Frickin' King Kong sized monkey. So yes, that's a huge improvement.

I won't argue that one, Dooms. The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that we've been trying to "get over the hump" for a few consecutive seasons, now.

But, back to your original point; this is a different season. As a fan I can only hope for a different result.

It is a different team. We let go some starters and big contributors of these past teams and maybe it is just me but I do see a different attitude with this team and look forward to seeing if they can get it done down the stretch and into the post season

I certainly see a different attitude with the players. The one thing that concerns me is that we're seeing a repeated pattern in Garrett. I don't want to turn this into a fire Garrett thread, by any means (we've had enough of those). But the fact that we're hearing echoes from this year's opponents of what last year's opponents were saying at the end of last season is more than just a bit disturbing. All the attitude in the world from your players won't overcome bad coaching. That's about as real as I can be about it.
