There is about to be a WR bubble in the NFL. HS athletes want to play WR not RB and offenses are switching to pass heavy with 4 and 5 wides every play. Ton of WR talent coming out every year. I would just keep drafting solid WR’s and not re-sign guys. Lamb is good but nothing not replaceable. This is a contract year for him though so you know he will show out, we resign him at top dollar then he goes back to 2021 CeeDee

As of right now no way I would give Ceedee top WR money. I'm not sure if give any WR currently in this league 25m a year. I'm pretty sure some teams also see it your way.

No front office personnel should feel comfortable planning contracts that far into the future. All other front offices are under pressure to win so they're more concerned about winning enough now to be around for the contracts you mentioned. That's why other teams are active in free agency and they would worry about Micah's contract when it's time. Their present concern is performing good enough to keep their jobs.

In Dallas there's no concern about job security. In Dallas there's no urgency to win now. So only in Dallas can the front office start thinking about contracts 4 years out because no matter what they'll still be here.

There's currently 25 top players who will still be under age 25 when the upcoming season begins.

Dallas appears to have a solid foundation on which to build their future. They have three players on the list. (Only Tampa Bay can say the same) The same players as the OP had mentioned. They will be paid what they deserve & set the stage for Dallas.

If Diggs can continue to come anywhere near what he did last year he will absolutely be the highest paid CB. Parsons will likely be the highest paid defensive player in the league. Lamb I can't predict, but he's going to have to have a larger impact to get the money he wants here. If we let one walk, my bet is on Lamb. It'll be my fault for buying his jersey, sorry.

Lamb is not gonna take that next step, so I don't think he will get paid after the 5th year option is picked up. Parson's is gonna break the bank. I just don't see Diggs repeating what he did. He is too boom or bust.

Lamb is not a catch it quick on the sidelines guy like smart could be.
Lamb needs a vertical game. Can doesn't have a vertical game arm.

The benefit to extending a player after their 3rd year, 5th option or not, is because you have that 4th rookie year left where they can allocate signing bonus money to.

We can be sure Parsons will get one after 3 years if his play continues. I'm not so sure about Lamb.

I get that. But I don't think Lamb has earned an extension yet. If he puts up 80-100 catches, 1000+ yds and 8-10 TD then he will rightfully get his extension after this year. If he puts up the numbers that he did last year, then he shouldn't get the extension after this season.

I would agree. Plus, drafts usually have a lot of great WRs, so I would actually probably try to trade CeeDee if the draft has good WRs after this season. We might be able to obtain a few 1sts for him.

Exactly, and I think we might be able to get as much if not more for CeeDee. I say that's better than resigning him or letting him go in FA because we could build even more with additional 1st round picks.

Let me be honest with you. Unless Lamb looks like Cooper Cupp, uncoverable, no way I pay Lamb 25M a year. Not a chance. A contract similar to Gallup's, sure.

Me too. A good WR. But IMO, similar to how Randal Cobb played for us. We'll see for sure after this year. But I would either trade him after this year or let him play out his 5 years. But you know how Jerry is. Won't get anyone in FA, but he'll over pay his own. It wouldn't surprise me if Lamb got a 4 year extension paying him 25M a year.

Despite the NFL being a pass happy league, you don't need all-pros at the WR and CB positions to succeed.

Is Lamb a #1 or just a glorified #2 that only looks good when a real #1 is on the field getting all the attention?

What happens if Diggs only gets 4 INTs but still gives up over 1,000 yards and is nonexistent in the run game?

Lamb does certainly have more to prove but then again what player with two years under his belt doesn’t to sone degree
But I also don’t think all 3 get extended either
With the cost of WR contracts and the number of new quality WR entering the league each year something’s got to give at some point on their salaries. And it’s not a position that you can’t replace fairly easily

Honestly, I don't think that Lamb is a true #1 and it will show this season. I can see the team going ahead and letting him play out this contract, maybe pick up the 5th year option and letting him walk. If he holds out for $25M, I'm seeking a trade or cutting him.

I agree, and said as much, BUT I have to give him credit. He does an excellent job of baiting QBs. That is why I expect multiple INTs from him moving forward, unless or until qbs decide they don't want the risk.

I'm anxious to see how well CEE DEE does while being double-teamed. He didn't face too many doubles last year when the Coop was in.
