Nathan Rourke more than merits consideration. Low risk-low price/potential high reward. Better than Cooper Rush at the very least.
Here, since Dak lives in your bedroom.I hear people say that "we don't appreciate what we have" and must have forgotten about "the QBs between Aikman and Romo".
We're still there. It's just a little prettier.
It's time for this organization to take the QB position seriously again. I'd much rather be on the QB search than be handcuffed to a QB that requires everything to be perfect around him. The margin for error in roster building is incredibly small with a QB of Dak Prescott's skill level. We have to hit on everything to succeed with Dak at QB and that takes a lot of smarts and luck.
You're not going to draft the next Patrick Mahomes if you handcuff yourself to Alex Smith.
Just watch Dak's eyes. He locks on early most passing plays, and defenders are breaking on the ball before he throws it because he is too easy to read right now. Bad habits have taken back over his game which is why he is struggling so bad recently. If I'm a DB playing against the Cowboys, I'm ecstatic at the idea of my defense crowding the line of scrimmage on Dak. Pressure him to read and react and there will be turnover opportunities.

Dak = Quincy Carter minus the pot and lousy attitude. That does make him better than Carter, but it doesn't make him an elite NFL quarterback. Dak is pretty good, as in a smidgen above mediocre. He's Kurt Cousin's younger brother basically.I hear people say that "we don't appreciate what we have" and must have forgotten about "the QBs between Aikman and Romo".

That's exactly it. Alex Smith wasn't bad, but they weren't going to win the Super Bowl with "not bad".The Chiefs made the playoffs the year they drafted Mahomes.
Imagine if they said "Ya know, Alex Smith gets us to the playoffs and we should be thankful for that much".
You don't have to hit rock bottom. You just have to be willing to make moves.
As we've seen in the NFL (Bears, Broncos, Bucs etc), the defensive side can override any weakness on the offensive side. If KC's defense had been great, Alex would have won a SB. Same for Dak and the 'boys defense has never been in that category of being able to overwhelm the opposition to overcome his shortcomings or lack eliteness. That has been abundantly obvious this year with all the blown 4 qtr leads. The probability of getting an elite QB is very low in the draft or thru trade. For the Jones' Dak has likely been worth the bloated contract. Dak keeps them always in the conversation as contenders and frankly we had back to back double digit wins which we haven't had since 1996.That's exactly it. Alex Smith wasn't bad, but they weren't going to win the Super Bowl with "not bad".
I totally agree. I’d draft one every other year.I'd trust them more if they made finding a QB a *continuing* process and priority.
Keep. Em. Coming.
12-5 fakes in the Eastern Division while the Eagles, Giants and SKINS all get better. It shouldn't be too long before the Boys are bringing up the rear. This organization isn't going anywhere near a SB until JJ is dead and gone and his rug rats go on personal spending sprees and spend until they are forced to pay outstanding debts.Jethro can sell the hell out of 12-5.
It’s not worth hitting rock bottom to draft the next stud at QB.
