7. Zeke, wanting the limelight, reappears in Dallas
8. Zeke gets, slowly, into shape.
9. Tony Pollard is drawing oooohs and ahhh's
10. Zeke enters the game in the 2nd game of the season.

I actually think that we could see the Cowboys stand pat on this one. I mean, not saying they will but I can see where they might. I mean, what happens if Zeke sits and the Cowboys roll with somebody else? We could see the Cowboys be successful with another player or players or, we could see the team go down in flames. I mean, either could happen but what is the motivation for the team to pay him top dollar? If the Cowboys can win without him, what happens to his leverage with the team? If the Cowboys go down in flames, they get another high pick and, more importantly, they probably gain leverage on both Zeke and Dak because now you are in a situation where the value that may, or many not exist for Dak, goes out the window. The Cowboys could save themselves millions going forward on both of those players.

I guess I'm not so sure the Cowboys will come to the table on this thing. I believe they will offer a contract but I'm not so sure they will "cave".

Actually the more I think about it, the more I hope they don't cave. They could trade for a great draft pick and let Zeke create distractions for someone else's team.

On the flip side what if we and more specifically our offense struggles and Dak isn’t as effective without Zeke .

It’s a huge risk . It could go either way. If we started like 0-2 or 1-3, etc. I could see pressure mounting to sign Elliott.

How foolish could we look if we sign Dak and or Cooper and they struggle without Elliott. We’ve already had a pretty good sample size. I really don’t think Jerry wants to go there again. But we might roll the dice. And if we had success without Elliott he could be totally expendable.

My hunch is it wouldn't turnout so rosy. And it could waste the season and much uncertainty moving forward with two stars you just signed .

I truly believe they’ll try to sign Elliott first. If can’t get it done wait to sign the others until they see how it pans out without Zeke.

Maybe that would be the case if we were playing other teams like the Saints and Patriots the first 2 weeks but we aren't. We are playing division rivals, who aren't better than Dallas even without Zeke.

I normally love Jerry but his comments on Zeke today is the Jerry I don't like. I don't get what's going on. Stephen says he's the straw that stirs the drink and Jerry acts like he doesn't matter. I don't think Dallas wants to give him Gurley money-the one big thing I took away today.

So again what Jerry said was correct. Those times are gone, the 90s football doesn't exist anymore.

Zeke is a Cowboy and the best back in the game, I want him on the team as it gives us a better chance to succeed. That being said I disagree with how he is going about it.

Dak isn't an elite QB but he is really good. Not many elite QBs in the league to begin with but yet somehow those non elite QBs make the Superbowl every year, hell sometimes even win it.

It's a cold reality that Zeke needs to pay attention to. Whether its true or not, the Cowboys position is he needs them more than they need him.
