could ride with GG anyway..even if we signed Smith. I say keep 3 QB's on the active.Dak Smith and GG would be a very solid QB room.If the Cowboys sign Smith, would that impact their comp pick for losing Dalton? If the answer is yes, I'm tempted to ride with Gilbert.
I like him a touch better than Dalton because he takes care of the ball better.
Washington will be signing everybody next week lolSmith has a $24.4 million cap hit & Washington would save $13.8 million if they eleased him.
IF we were a contender, he'd be a great backup. Might be a good backup for a rookie starter, if that happens.
Makes more sense I suppose. They're at 19 ( I think ).....pretty sure it cost at least two 1st rounders just to get in the top 10. Just me, but I see them trading for a starting vet.
Sounds like Dak PrescottExactly, he's the ultimate game manager. He won't lose games but don't expect anything special. It's why Andy Reid got rid of him.
Short answer is no.Can he still run like he used to? He was a dual threat which helped out his game a lot.
Starter QB upgrades are available for the Cowboys.
..does that mean he's to expensive or that injury left him a former shade of himself?
I wouldn't mind us bringing him in! Especially if we decide to let Dak go, Alex Smith would make a nice one year bridge for whoever we draft to eventually replace Dak. Alex Smith would give us a bit more time to develop a QB. Bring in Smith!

So next year would be Alex Smith vs Dak Prescott. Smith a Cowboy and Dak would be in Washington lol
